Any interest? Savage "Bush Carbine"

I don't understand your statement.

they're jealous they didnt think of it first canam.

I love the idea of this rifle, i awsnt sure what the point was at first, but a 16" bbl would be amazing, sadly i cant justify purchasing one.

being from SW ontario, in the areas I hunt, the largest caliber I can use is .275
I saw a post in this thread of someone wanting a .223 in a sshort barrel, if there was enough interest for this , i would be in for a rifle aswell!

good luck with this 308 run

option..?

We can make them any length, but 18.5" seems like the best given the cartridge.

I think will will do they as the scout rifle with the Williams sight. It does affect traditional scope mounting, however.

will this work with the open sited barrel(both sights on barrel)?i was just thinking you can run the rifle with a scope and sites,or if a guy want he ca loose the scope and go peep only...sell the peep as an option.....unless the front post is different?

A shorter stock would be nice too, it would make it more compact, afterall thats the idea with the shorter barrel, especially 16".

Either 16" or 18" or 18.5" would be excellent.

The Tenifer finish is the single most enticing feature.

A detachable magazine is the next most enticing feature because of legal restrictions that stipulate an unloaded condition. Load, unload. Load, unload. Load, unload. Load, unload. Load, unload...

P.S.: Can we please have these two threads merged?

Now if it was a 7.62x39mm and 16-18.5" bbl.... I would be all in.

Maybe an extra 16" barrel in 7.62X39 could be an option...as well as other calibers.

How hard is it to switch barrels on the 200?

.308, 16", drilled for a scout ramp, shorter stock, NECG masterpiece up front and a peep on the rear works for me.....:)

I'd take one without sights as well, and just the scout rail for a red dot and then I could add my own choice of sights.

You would also need another bolt/head, some custom magazine of some sort would also be needed. Or I could just buy a new cz but I would hate to ding it up.
