Any Ithaca 37 Love in Here?

The Norinco Ithaca 37 clone is heavy and wrapped in polymer - that being said, the action is smooth with a crisp break in the trigger. I won't be selling mine anytime soon despite barely ever using it.

As a lefty the shell eject and load is ideal.

So I'm guessing the majority of the "unnecessary" weight on the Norinco 37 clone is in the heavy stock and forend like it is on the DA Grizzly's?

If I had to venture a guess, I would say the butt stock is unusually durable feeling and thick/heavy which would be great for clubbing, while the receiver and barrel(s) [tube mag and barrell] appear to be made of soviet tank components.

I mostly use polymer wrapped firearms (think kel-tec stuff and archangel stocks on everything else) and the Norinco Ithaca clone makes those look like toys.

Kablam - one looks to be a standard Choate, and the other is a Pachmayr. Ebay, Amazon, or the EE will likely be your best bet.

Much thanks! I've looked up ebay sellers with ithaca pistol grips, most had been in the US and disinclined to ship to Canadian addresses. I'll poke around amazon.

cheers!

I've had some luck over the years contacting them directly sometimes. Also try Botach Tactical - they have a lot of stuff, and will almost always ship here.

I picked up a Norinco clone back in the winter for my girlfriend. It needed some work and TLC, but it's been a fun project and helped me suck her in to shooting

I like the older 37's but not the recent ones.

Me too. Only grief about this, they never made an older 28 gauge.
I find the older 2 3/4 inch receiver a touch lighter and much more balanced in the hand with normal barrel lengths versus the magnum receivers.
Wanna find a nice composition with the older 2 3/4 inch slug guns? Place a Model 87 heavier barrel on the older shorter receiver, if you can. Very nice just so slightly forward shift of C.of G. Superb when launching slugs or buckshot down range!
