Any Ithaca 37 Love in Here?

I have one I have had for 45 years. I once had another but it was taken when my truck was stolen and it was in the truck. Someone just south of Brantford has it now along with a pump FN 22

You can buy the parts straight from Ithaca. They will ship to Canada.

The newly manufactured Ithaca's have the slam disabled due to the ATF request, but Ithaca has the parts to convert it to the original M37 configuration so it can slam fire.
 
I have an 87 as well, and in hand, don't really notice the difference. Numbers are just numbers at this point. But I will say that the M&P build done up by TacOrd on a 1959 M37 is one small, light package. Yowza.
 
New barrels are all 3" except maybe the 28ga but when fitted to a 2 3/4 frame can only cycle 2 3/4" ammo.

Even the 3" guns are still a good 1 1/4" shorter in the receiver than a Remington or Mossberg, and I find 3" 37s are easier to load 2 3/4 shells into than their short port brethren.
 
All I have right now is a '50s vintage Featherlight and a Model 51 autoloader.

I'm considering getting a new custom 37 Defense with an extra sporting length barrel, but pumps are a low priority for me right now.
 
Rebel Rouser: Was not the case for me recently. All orders from Ithaca must go through an importer (even wood in my case). This name will likely be blocked out for some reason because it happened last time mentioned them, but A*Z*T*E*C*H armoury imports guns and parts from them. If you need to communicate with Ithaca about it though, good luck, because they were less than helpful once they found out I was from Canada.
 
Ohio Ithaca are good machinists but lack gun business sense.

In particular they can't promote their products for sh*t, to the point where a lot of gun enthusiasts aren't even aware that the company still exists.
 
Just back from a quick AM grouse hunt.My newly acquired Deerslayer smoothbore Deluxe 12ga just got it's first ruffie.They are mod choked 20" pipes.

I know Dave that owns the company. He has been to Canada many times. I asked about ordering parts they said they can ship them, but they also have some guy in Ontario that is suppose to stock parts.

Some more detail. I purchased a Deerslayer 2 and when I received It the sling stud was drilled in crooked and off-centre and then after my first time out in the cold weather the forend developed a 2.5 inch crack. I talked to Zac who I guess was their service guy and he asked me to send it back and they would fix the problem. After telling him I was in Canada I got a dial tone on their end. Never did get to speak with Zac on the phone. So I reached out to A*z*tech armoury and they got ahold of Ithaca. After months of broken telephone they were able to import the replacement wood. However it came without a stud in the stock, did not have the Deerslayer grip cap, and has three significant marks on it. Some assembly required I guess. So they eventually sent the missing pieces through the importer. A bit of a gong show. Not the kind of service you expect for a $1460 Shotgun. I could have used your help a few months back.
