Any news on the Tavor?

I dread posters who will be asking for the Tavor in every wierd and wonderful caliber except the one it was chambered for. Sooooooooo monotonous.

They want more calibers to not buy it in.

Sad but true. I can't stand the "I'll wait for the .308 version" crowd. Buy the goddamn gun as is and be greatful someone had the time and effort to import it.

But has it the ability to do great enough damage to the baddie to kill him. Kevin B said he made a 400 metre shot with a ten and a half inch barrel on his M4 I presume. He fails to say whether the baddie was killed or just wounded with this one long shot or repeated shots and what the result was.
Perhaps he is using more effective bullets that the standard issue for military.

Naaahhhh.... I'll take my Tavor in .223, a .308 would be a little too much for gophers and coyotes!

I can find many, many other reasons why I would buy a Tavor .223...

its good to support another country ya believe in...

I didnt enjoy seeing my tax $$ go to save a bunch of Lebs just to see them move back after that little tiff in the summer

It`s funny how many different .223 'new' rifles are being made lately, Tavor,XM8,FN2000,XCR <---if they actually exist, Gas piston AR`s..........so on and so on.....

Tavor looks mostly well thought out maybe not the mag changes?
Is there a sight that shows details on this thing, like breaking it down, gas system, barrels quick change?

Ok, for all you guys looking for $ to buy this new gun, I'll buy those outaded restricted AR's from you. I'll be generous and offer 675$ a piece.;)

Seeing what it is made from, plastic receiver, you would think it was about the same cost as an AR180B. Gun companies do take advantage. Would I buy one for 3K? Or an AR10 or PE90? Who am I kidding? I want a G3!

I'm not sure that's what its all about. If you're the exclusive importer (ie. STE for Swiss arms) and you could charge any price you want. You'd do some research and find that 3K for a top end rifle, non-restricted (aka "SOLID GOLD" to a firearms community restricted in the way we currently are) would be just about the max for a gun like that. Other people would do the same if they could also bring in top end guns exclusively for this market. They know the demand is there now, and that some people can afford and will buy them.

Not raising a fuss or anything because I really want a Tavor. That's just the way things work I guess!
