Any Other Reason To Own MRA Renegade Other than Porting Over AR Parts?

I don't like using pistol mags I prefer the propper mags

I can't remember where, but a while back someone was selling 10 round pinned pistol labelled magazines in a larger mag body, either a 20 round or 30 round body, can't remember which.

Anyone build a 6.5 grendal for hunting use? Thinking about building one with a 12.5 in barrel.

Do it !!

Sure it's been mentioned here somewhere ( i've been looking ), but after scavenging parts off now prohib AR's, with now void registrations, is there still a legal requirement to call the CFC within 30 days to notify them that my AR is no longer a rifle, just a receiver/frame?

I doubt that it's even possible to make any changes to your registration.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was gathering. It seems like the gov't did what they did so your firearms as previously registered would have to remain as they did when they became paperweights. I am just curious as to if/when the day comes if handing in a receiver to the horse cops is going to create a sh!t storm, lol.

There were people saying that May that they'd changed their ARs in April, and under the old rules you had 30 days to report and re-register, but the moment the OIC dropped they weren't listening to registration changes anymore. Guess we find out (eventually) what happens if you no longer have the barrel and/or upper it was registered with, or if your barrel lives on a Renegade now.

AR parts are parts, too bad they created a ghost gun, can't change the registration status on something that no longer exists.

Yeah, that's what's so goofy about all of this. They essentially cancelled the registration and say to "keep previous reg certs for historical purposes" or whatever. So then are we no longer bound by the requirements? What a mess.

there is a note in my file about the change of status of my ar15 (no more barrel and upper, only the lower)... you had 30 days to inform them not few months after ...

closest I'll get to hunting with an AR like our southern neighbours get to enjoy. Don't always want to carry my longer rifles into the bush.

Umm yeah I’m well aware on what the regulations are. Not sure what you’re talking about “a few months after”. The point is that with no more “valid” registration how (legally) could you inform them of any change. To me it looks like you can’t, is what I’m saying.

when i did my atipp i found out that a note said about the new status of the ar15 and an extra note about no new registration or certificate will be issued ... what im talking about is trying few months after the OIC to do it for having change will not be accepted. nothing else.
