I don’t know you, I probably don’t agree on your political choice(I don’t agree with most on that anyway) but after following this thread and now reading this, I have respect for the dialog and the person you are exposing in the above reply!!
Respect!
Yes, you are, you usually don’t even know who you’re flying until they walk down the ramp on jobs like that, and that’s just how Jagmeet went. But that’s besides the point, if you shut yourself out of conversations with those you disagree with nothing will ever change by excluding yourself. I’m very grateful to be able to have a conversation like that.
How long have you been a commercial helicopter pilot?![]()
I think you make a very good point here about shutting yourself out of the conversation. It's no wonder gun ownership is in such a bad place when the only response most gun owners will give someone like Singh is the middle finger. More gun owners having real conversations with left-leaning politicians, rather than screaming they're communists and dismissing them entirely certainly can't hurt.
Man who gives a crap that an outfitter sold their territory. No more wealthy Americans or Europeans killing game in one part of BC. Would be a great opportunity for residents to hunt without competition.
You trusting the same gut feel you had on me when we didn’t meet at a gun show I’ve never been to?Forgive me, had to.
In all seriousness, you do you. I’ll do me. Enjoy your life and take care of you and yours.
Phil you are a euro so you know owning guns is not a matter of politics. Our Nordic friends who make all my favourite stuff have a welfare state that would make Jagmeet recoil in fear.
fair enough but 100% you met me at a gunshow in kamloops about a dozen years ago now, when lazerus2000 and I were doing the southern circuit. We chatted briefly and I find it pretty silly that you are denying it happened LOL you are now straight up lying.
I was the "m14doctor" at the time and we talked about the rifles briefly and you moved on. It;s how I knew your first name long before your hunting and flying exploits were posted on CGN.
I too enjoyed many of your posts and threads on your many adventures but I've met many guides , bush pilots and high arctic pilots so I was not in awe of your tales as many others here might be. I grew up on it with a father and his friends who flew fixed wing commercially and as a kid getting taken for flights in twin otters, beavers on floats, cessnas and pipers..... Certainly not gonna kiss your's and hoyt's asses all the time so you guys don't get all offended and start bragging about ignore lists LOL
ya bud, you do you but my thoughts on that photo and what it represents remain the same.
you put yourself on that pedestal by posting your exploits here so you just gotta suck it up and take it when folks see a pic of you saddling up to a jerk off like jagmeet.
Someone is lying here… I mean many are lying here lol!Well this is an easy one, I have never been to any gun show in Canada. I was also early in my heli career path and living in Fort Nelson that era, and certainly wasn’t travelling to Kamloops for gun shows. I certainly hope you didn’t give this imposter money.
How tall was he, and did he have an accent?
Close friend of mine has been a pilot for years and owns his own helicopter and plane. He chooses what jobs he wants to do and has done very well for himself. Let's not pretend pilots are work starved, we are talking BC and Alberta work, not international flights that have been subject to travel bans
As for pretending to not know you were being hired to fly the leader of the NDP around until you got to your helicopter.......
If shutting yourself out of working for someone means you don't get a conversation, then so be it. If you have to cater to someone to have a discussion, that is called pay for play.
Imagine if a contractor had to build a house for Jagmeet to have have a discussion or a car salesman has to sell him a car, etc, etc.
