You're the first guy I've ever heard state that IMR4320 is their "go-to" powder! IMR4320 is one of those powders that is almost never listed in a suggested load, and for which relatively few published loads exist - Herco is another. There's nothing wrong with it (I have had a pound of it for a few years, and used a few hundred grains of it), but it seems almost interchangeable with H4895 of which I'm near the bottom of a five pound container - it just gets overlooked.
Your thread seems to follow a theme we see a fair bit here, one of the "General Purpose Powder". It's understandable for someone starting out in reloading, or with limited space, to want to use just one or two powders (I started with H4350 as I recall), but unless you only reload one or two cartridges, you'll quickly find that no one, two, or even four powders will provide optimum velocity and/or accuracy with multiple bullet weights.
That having been said, with the 7.62X54, IMR4320 is most suitable for 150 gr and lighter bullets, and H4350 or IMR4350 (as fiddler stated) can take it from there for heavier bullets.
