Any SKS deals for Black Friday out there ???

Yup only 5% tax.You superstars can feel free to contact visa with your concerns.I can only tell ya what my total cost per rifle was .I will spell it out for you as your lack of education is showing. 1x rifle @ $539.99 + tax @ 5% = $ 27.00 +. ( free shipping ) = $567.00 LOL!

Well you could buy from G4C and save $42. G4C free shipping on firearms: $499.99 plus 5% tax is $525.

wtf is a french tickler sks?

It's stupidity is what it is.

Rifles missing pieces cobbled together with leftover 50 year old hand guards and marketed as a variant and limited edition collectibles and scooped up by buyers at ridiculously high prices

Why everyone thinks tge SKS are such great guns is beyond me, if Remington, Tikka or Savage had their name stamped in these there would be nothing but complaints about fit and fish, and milling, etc etc.
Remingtons worst Marlin is light years ahead of any SKS in quality

Well, I have a 1960 Rem 722 in 308 and a '51 SKS. I won't shoot 100 rounds every day I take out the Rem but don't hesitate with the SKS. The Rem is much prettier and only has 184 rounds on a new barrel, but the SKS has about 1000 . . . since I got both in '21. They each do their job. The Rem is 2-MOA @ 175-yds and the SKS is ca 8-MOA - HA ! Maybe a scope on the SKS ?

They're cheap and fun. The non refurbs are much nicer.

tge SKS works despite its cosmetic deficiencies. It’s milled correctly where it counts, always fires, and you don’t have to baby it.

Oof! That must have a sewer pipe of a barrel? With irons off a bench with all varieties of surplus ammo I've never had problems getting at least a 4" group. If you're printing like a shotgun, I don't think a scope would help lol

Some people aren't great with irons. A properly mounted/used scope will absolutely improve group size over irons.

That makes sense. I didn't read the post as "I'm not great with irons" I saw it as "this thing won't do better than 8moa". Not the first (or last) time I'll infer something different than intended from the written word on the internet

The barrel is pretty rough - I describe it as 'looks like the moon surface'.
DiMP, are you shooting a '51 Tula at 175-yds ?? I can't 'see' a bull smaller than 8-10" at that distance. Just 'ring' bulls, not solid black, maybe that's what I need to aim at ? At 100-yds I get ca 4-MOA with the irons and about 2 @ 50.
