Anybody ever dealt with TnT Gunworks?

I think Darryl (owner) is ok to deal with. I haven't bought anything big from him but it is nice to know that there is a store where you and go and window shop if need be.

On the dealings that I have had with him he has always been fair and any questions I have asked he always gave me an intelligent answer.:)

His posted prices are on the high side but he likes to deal and is prepared for your trade.;)

I hate them.

I've bought from them twice and have devoted my life to making them lose buisness.

1. I bought bullets. Hornety 150gr .308
I get to the reloading bench and there are only 97 bullets and 2 of them are 180gr sp.
#####ing didn't help me.

2. I bought ammo. 9mm 115gr ball Win. When I finally get to my range in Lethbridge, I find I paid (an obviously overpriced sum) for mixed brass cast reloads.
It gets better.
I was pounding ammo into the target when the pistol failed to fire. No powder. The bullet was an inch into the barrel, and lucky for me, holding the next round back slightly so it didn't drop the hammer when I pulled the trigger.

45 mins of hammering later the bullet came out. I inspected the remainder ammo and found a total of 3 rounds didn't have powder in them!

Know that this the type of people you're dealing with, you decide if you can trust them.

They seem to be a fair enought place, with some decent guns at fair prices. I'm just not crazy about the reception I get when I walk in there. A lot of that has to do with the blonde woman working there though (cant remember her name...), she just seems generally unpleasant/unhappy. I feel like I'm bothering her when I go in there, and on top of that, she never seems to have any answers to my quesitons anyway, she always has to go running after Darrel to answer them, so I may as well just talk to Darrel right off the bat.

Their accessories are a bit pricey, but hey, it's the only place in town that I can walk in a have a look at stuff in person. I don't mind paying a bit more for that privelige when I want to fondle stuff.

That being said, when I went in there to price out a new handgun a couple of months ago, they matched the price I got from Wholesale Sports, so I can't complain about that, esepcially when I know that that price was only $9 above dealer cost (I have an aquaintance who is a gunsmith and looked into prices for me...). So they seem to be making an effort to keep their customers coming back when it comes to price...

I think they're a small store doing their best to stay alive in a small, competitive market, with more and more pressure from internet sales. I for one want to try and make sure that they stay in business, because if they leave, we'll go from 1 gun shop in Regina to no gun shop in Regina. When push came to shove, I ordered my handgun there, heck, I couldn't get it for less anywhere else, so they deserve my business when you look at it that way.

I just wish I got a friendlier reception from certain people when I walked in there, especially once they know you aren't just one of the tire-kickers who just likes to go in there to drool over handguns, after all, we're the ones keeping them alive...

I'll go there in a last ditch effort to get what I need. The prices are usually 15-20% higher then WSS or SIR.
They'll treat you good if you spend lots of money there if you don't you'll be treated like the invisible man.
Regina needs a Sporting goods store to compete with TnT then maybe they would change.
I would give the shop a 3 out of 10.

Cheers!!

Never shopped there, but did buy a rifle from them that was advertised in the ACCESS. Rifle was well packaged, shipping was prompt and most importantly it was better than advertised.

I once asked a question and the #### behind the counter gave me such a snotty answer that i decided never to do bussiness with them.
Go to Wholesale saskatoon there are some really fine folks there.
Stay away from saskatoon gun works too the owner is a jack-ass and he treats customers like he's not really interested in makeing any money

Looks like I'm going to be in the minority here but I've had good luck with TNT. Bought a new Tikka from Daryl and his price was the best around. Cheap enough that it made worth while paying the Sk. sales tax versus buying from Alta.(no sales tax). It took awhile to come in but wasn't in any big hurry and had it in plenty of time to get it ready for hunting season. Daryl quoted me a price before he was really sure of his cost and stuck to it. He had the scope I was looking for as well and came down considerably on the sticker price. Had it all ready to go when I got there. The scope covers had gone missing so he gave me killer deal on some Butler Creek flip up covers. Have bought some accessories there as well and has treated me well on the price there too. I do agree that it's better to deal directly with Daryl if possible. Just priced another rifle from him yesterday and his price is the best I've seen.

I have to say that i've been very impressed there. I've bought 3 guns, some scopes, accessories, and ammo. never had a problem. they've always been friendly and answered any questions I had. The small amount of gunsmithing i've got done there (muzzle brake) was top noch. 10 out of 10

Saskatoon Gun Works deserves the Grand aggragate for being the most snotty, unknowing, know it all bunch of complete scab suckin' IGNORANT a**holes I have ever tried to do bussiness with.

Was in the market for TWO B&L Elite 4200 6-24x40 scopes and havenever had such a hard time to get either father or son to take the time off from visiting with their friends to show me what I wanted- instead they were trying to pawn some other garbage off on me at INFLATED prices, i don't hink they even had any as they wouldtry & steer me off in another direction-
Finally I walked out in disgust- if I had to deal with pricks like this- I would give up my lifelong passion for shooting.

Wholesale sports in 'toon is a whole different story, have always found them to be helpful & understanding.:D

Darrell at TnT in Regina has always treated me well & He will work for your bussiness, prices are listed a bit higher but you can always negotiate with him, as I had told him the only difference between S'toon & Regina was 45 min to me. He understood that very well;)

I gotta tell you thisI bought a used scope from Wholesale Stoon. Mounted it and it would not keep zero. I did not think they would refund me for it as I did not have any proof of purchase.
Well I went over there and told them I was looking for a new scope as the old one was broken. I was refunded with no questions asked and no hassle.
SI would not give a #### if only wholesale stayed open in Canada. The price is right and they are helpfull folks that work for their money unlike that Coffe drinking Yahoo @ Stoon gun works

Sorry to get you going Bigredd, I have been communicating (very slowly) with Darryl about a partiular rifle and a guy I know very little warned me about the store.
I have found that whatever town people live in they hate the store, guys in Eastern Ontario hate Lebaron's , guys in Alberta hate Whoelsale, guys in Winnipeg hate SIR, and have now discovered several guys form Regina don't like TNT. I think perhaps we have unrealistic expectations of our local gunshops. I for one live 450km from the nearest store that sells anything and would probably support any local store.

Haven't bought anything there since Doug left. Before that all I bought was cleaning stuff when I was at Depot. But like I said, haven't been in the joint since Doug quit.

I've bought a few things from TNT in the past, kinda on the pricy side if you ask me.

Also it seems if you are looking at a long gun they'll accomodate you somewhat, but if you want to fondle their handguns you have to beg for it. I suppose they get alot of people in there that just want to hold a handgun with no intention to buy, but I would like some service, when I ask about a particular handgun they have sitting there I expect them to pull it out immediately and put it in my hands. I have been there about 6 times and 5 times I have bought something, I know they know me (I'm from out of town) and they know I'm not some kid off the street wanting to finger up a pistol for no reason. Everyone should be treated as a potential customer, but you have to pry any info out of these people.

Its a double edged sword, they don't want to sell you a 900 dollar handgun but they don't want to be bothered with sourcing a 2 dollar part for you either.

The reception you get when you walk in there is terrible, it seems I am bothering them to no end. It would be neat if one of them actually got out from behind the counter with out dragging them kicking and screaming to look at a reloader they have on their shelf.

I take my business elsewhere now.

And yes, if the woman is sitting behind the counter you might as well ask the chair.
