They seem to be a fair enought place, with some decent guns at fair prices. I'm just not crazy about the reception I get when I walk in there. A lot of that has to do with the blonde woman working there though (cant remember her name...), she just seems generally unpleasant/unhappy. I feel like I'm bothering her when I go in there, and on top of that, she never seems to have any answers to my quesitons anyway, she always has to go running after Darrel to answer them, so I may as well just talk to Darrel right off the bat.
Their accessories are a bit pricey, but hey, it's the only place in town that I can walk in a have a look at stuff in person. I don't mind paying a bit more for that privelige when I want to fondle stuff.
That being said, when I went in there to price out a new handgun a couple of months ago, they matched the price I got from Wholesale Sports, so I can't complain about that, esepcially when I know that that price was only $9 above dealer cost (I have an aquaintance who is a gunsmith and looked into prices for me...). So they seem to be making an effort to keep their customers coming back when it comes to price...
I think they're a small store doing their best to stay alive in a small, competitive market, with more and more pressure from internet sales. I for one want to try and make sure that they stay in business, because if they leave, we'll go from 1 gun shop in Regina to no gun shop in Regina. When push came to shove, I ordered my handgun there, heck, I couldn't get it for less anywhere else, so they deserve my business when you look at it that way.
I just wish I got a friendlier reception from certain people when I walked in there, especially once they know you aren't just one of the tire-kickers who just likes to go in there to drool over handguns, after all, we're the ones keeping them alive...
