Anybody ever see a Bigfoot?

just caught this thread.

I don't blame Gatehouse for not wanting to share his experience. It's a disturbing thing ..... seeing something in the bush that you "know" is not yer typical animal found creepin in the forest.

The lowermainland area , notabley the fraser valley has a long history of sasquatch stories. heck we even named a park after it. Since I was old enough to drive i have been rollin around the forestry roads and trails of Chilliwack, Harrison, Chehalis/Sasquatch park ect..... fishin, huntin, hikin.... all that stuff.

Welll..in the Chilliwack Valley itself... I've seen Mnt Goats (hard to find),cougars, black bears, deer... an elk and calf (very rare).... a moose and calf(EXtremely rare).... and a rare radio collared Grizz boar and his mate a big ol ##### of a sow. I can recognize ALL of these animals on sight..... generally even if partially obscured..... or even if on the move......

well, what i saw run across the road one fall day while up on the chilliwack salmon fishing was none of the above...... my brother in law saw it too and I swear he screamed like a girl....... slamming on the brakes on the icy wet road..... putting us into the ditch doin 60 K, completely destroying his truck.... thank god for seatbelts and airbags  ..... we both were right freaked..... I saw a sasquatch on the road that day.... don't give two sh*ts if folks don't believe it ...... I still fish up there religeously..... my brother in law.... won't drive up chilliwack valley for ANY reason.... matter of fact.... he won't go camping either.

Ahh c'mon! It's a native running around in a bear suit! So many sightings and not one good solid picture. Always some blurry crap or half of a picture of a blob of fur.

BTT! I just read through all 17 pages and I want more!! My parents house is at the end of a street in North Van near the Capilano river. In the past bears coyotes and even a cougar or 2 have been spotted in the area. One night after some drinks at a friend's house closer to the river I came face to face with a large buck. So the point thus far is that there are lots of animals in the area.

Anyway one Halloween night I came home at about 2am to find one of our cats still outside on the front steps. For some reason this cat will always run away from you if she is outside (even if she wants in and you are heading for the door), so as usual I go to let her in and she starts running for the trees separating our yard from our neighbors.

Just before I was about to try to chase her we both hear a loud growl from the yard next door and she comes running towards me and the now open front door. I got the cat in the house but really wanted to know what was making the noise in the other yard so I worked up some nerve and started sneaking over to see what was up. I got over to the next yard and saw nothing but just across the street in the woods I could hear the same strange growling and the snapping of branches.

At this point I was just being stupid and walked as close to the edge of the forest as I felt moderately safe, I could hear the branches being broken and the growling again and it sounded close too close. I was still under the illumination of the one lonely street lamp at our end and the forest was pitch black and I couldn't see anything but from the sounds I was pretty sure whatever it was was big. I started backing towards my yard and once I was on the grass I bolted for the door and locked it behind me now scared as hell. I went to front window to look for whatever it was I heard but sow nothing and eventually went to bed.

I have no idea what I ran into that night but it scared the hell out of me! As stupid as it sounds I thought it sounded like what I would imagine a werewolf to sound like if they were real. Anyway that's my story, please feel free to comment or even better add some of your own!

WOW, you really get into the wilderness, don't you?

I have read through all 17 pages with interest, always searching for that proof positive that things such as these exist. I would not say I am a dis-believer, rather that I am not a believer until physical proof is there. I am also very inetersted on how the mind works and things may not appear as they seem to an iduvidual. That being said I firmly believe that in the instances where there have been sightings of unusual/unbelievable creatures that for the most part the stories are not fabricated, rather, in their own minds firmly believe and defend the statement "I know what I saw". Even with the most credible witnesses, the eyes and mind can play tricks. Illusionists would be out of work otherwise. I have always wanted to experience something incredible firsthand(even if it scared the s**t out of me) to make me less of a skeptic and more of a believer......maybe someday.

bigfoot, big myth.............

Weak minds need to make up big stories.
You may ask why there are so many bigfoot sightings all over the world ,my answer is that there is a lot of simpletons all over the world.
Bigfoot ranks right up there with santa ,the tooth fairy, the easter bunny and flying saucers. These ,"sightings" can be explained by lack of sleep due to mind altering drugs and alcohol and have no basis in reality.

Bigfoot a myth? Possibly

Abominable Thread Troll? CONFIRMED:D
So exactly how many CGN posts does it take to become a know it all?

back to direction88 who wants to know "how many CGN posts it takes to become a know it all."

Answer: a LOT more than 53

No need to thank me for this, it is a public service.

Nice try bud but usually you use the term "Know it all" for someone shooting there mouth off without having all the facts. Not unlike the guy who's post I responded to:eek: There is much evidence to support either argument in the Bigfoot debate on both sides. To claim that you know one way or another is being a know it all. No need to thank me for clarifying the definition:D Just glad to help out.

Right. Thank you SO much, direction88, I hang on your every word, including the mis-spelled ones. And the logic errors, petitio principii it would seem.

And now fifty-FOUR posts, how very exciting for you! :)

Doug

Fuzzy?

I've heard this story when I was hunting with Gatehouse for a few days this November. It was really freaky, and I am not surprised that Gatehouse doesn't want to talk about it. I wanted to sleep with a loaded gun after I heard the story.

Do you suggest perhaps Gatehouse transforms from the usual version sometimes after all the lights are out??

Ahh he brings up spelling errors! The undisputed sign of the loser of an Internet arguement (a little early for that one dont ya think gramps?). Sorry not all of us measure the size of our manhood through the number of posts on here, but dont let that spoil it for you sunshine;) Now troll on to some other thread in an obvious attempt to have it locked.
BTW The Red Green show sucks!

1. Dear direction88: spelling errors actually do make a difference in how people view your (WEAK) arguments.

2. Please spend some effort to learn about formal Logic arguments, about which your knowledge base seems to be zero or less.

3. I am not a gramps and from what I can see you are a KID, walking the SPCA dogs with your sweetie over there in East Van. They probably need fellow anti-hunters to help them out.

4. If anybody here is looking to lock a thread it is the kid all excited about Bigfoot. And probably SANTA TOO.........

direction88, it sure looks to me like you are trying to be a s**t-disturber, and we do not need your kind here. So go TROLL elsewhere, s**thead.

Anti-hunters? I think you must have mistaken your bed pan for your hearing aid again. From the sounds of it your memory has started to slide as well, seen as it was you who came onto this thread and started smart mouthing. How about actually making a logical arguement rather than attempting to impress us all with your rock hard and gleaming post count? Now seen as you obviously do not like the topic of this thread why dont you go and start your own to trade your experiences from WWI ya relic. Some of us get excited about Bigfoot and others ######...:D

In case everyone has forgotten, this thing started out about "Bigfoot." So, lets call a time out, while I post some irrefutable proof of his nonexistance! Here is the bombshell.
I looked up the passenger list on Noah's ark, and there are no bigfoot (feet) listed.
Therefore, no bigfoot, no sasqwatch, no whatever. Sorry, Gatehouse.
