anybody have expereance with Mossberg 715T Flat Top Tactical 22 LR

My brother and I both purchased the T715 with carrying handle, they were both terrible!!!! They were incredibly picky with ammo, I could only get mine to cycling reliably if I was shooting stingers ( try finding any now) and even than I still had a stove pipe or jam 2 or 3 times in 100, If I was using any other type of ammo the miss feeds or stove pipes would increase considerably. One fault I did not see in my rifle but showed up in my brothers was the bolt would randomly stay open after firing, we couldn’t figure out why that was happening. I would strongly recommend NOT spending your money on the Mossburg T715!!!!!!! I traded mine for an SKS and couldn’t be happier!

I recently purchase a Henry Golden Boy in .22 LR much much more satisfied with this purchase!

And I should have mentioned that the T715 is a ##### to clean! 16 small screw if my memory serves me, took me an hour to clean every time!!

Yeah I saw a video of someone cleaning it and that was the final deal breaker for me. Looked like it took a gunsmith to frigging clean the thing.

I bought one, mainly for my son because it "looks cool". I would say its good because it is cheap, but does have it's quirks. I have a hard time loading the mag to capacity. So often just put in 15 or so. It does jam ever so often, but is a fast clear and fire. Cleaning it, well I run a bore snake through it and thats about it. It is cheap to buy, cheap to run, looks good, feels cheap, and is quirky. For the price I am happy.

cou: ok, ok, I'll fess up and admit it... I bought 1 of those things before i knew it was a plastic clam shell screwed together with wood screws. That was embarassing. I've never been a fan of anything made by Mossburg, felt bad for the peson who was excited to buy it off me...

715T seem about as reliable as a 10/22 magazine... :nest:

I like mine. It was a super cheap way to get a "cool looking" gun to get me and my friends/family out shooting. I've had no problems with mine.

That being said, if I stay into the hobby long enough to justify the cost, it'll get replaced by a SR22.
