I've had one for a while and its become one of my favorite rifles, its also one of the few rifles that I've been satisfied ith right out of the box, after I adjusted the trigger. With most ammo, milsurp or sporting, it shoots well provided the bullets are on the short side due to the 1:12 twist, but with 50 gr TNTs over 4895, it'll blow your mind. I don't intentionally heat up the barrel, and tend to shoot just 3 shots at a time, but there are exceptions. The newer ones have a faster 1:9 twist, so will be more versatile in terms of bullet choice. I know Hoyt's not a fan of the protruding magazine, but I like the look on this rifle, and on the older Brno Fox, and carry the rifle on my middle finger at the juncture of the front edge of the box and the forend.
I removed the nonadjustable rear sight to allow for a scope . . .
If you're ever tempted top shoot with irons, NECG makes an aperture sight for the CZ 527 . . .
The front sight was replaced with a brass faced Patridge . . .
And the sight picture . . .

If I had a 527 those are exactly the sight's I'd put on it.
