Anybody hunting in Canada with 9.3x62

Has been a few years, but thinking "best price" is a dream in Canada for 9.3 250 Accubonds - to find any, at all, for sale is the challenge!!! At the time, I loaded up on them for my own use - too old now to use them all up, but I will try!!!

I have been using the 9.3x62 PPU brass - again, no issues at all - and have enough on hand, that I will not be looking for them again.

Almost like a cycle is repeating - "stack 'em deep" when you find them - seems to be re-occurring more often in past 20 years or so...

Anything worth shooting once, is worth shooting twice 'if' needed... :ar15:

Like EastBranch said in post #56 in this thread, you don't want to be cutting up a moose in the water...

I used similar logic with that bison of mine...side of an old winter road or down in some spruce-choked hell hole? Decision was easy for me!

Rather than me queuing at Loblaw

which outfit in Canada has the best price for 9.3 accubonds and lapua brass

There are several places that stock Lapua brass, price seems to be the same everywhere ($180/100!!!!). I got mine from Hirsch Precision. Tradex seems the place to go for Accubonds.

As an aside, what speeds are you guys getting with 285 grainers? I'm running mine at 2,450, but I'm wondering if I'm gaining anything besides more recoil over the factory standard 2,350?

;)Brings back memories. Shortly after starting out on big game in my early teens, one of my first  I dropped in the water about 10yds behind a beaver dam. :)That was an early lesson.

Loooooong range 9.3x62 in action

kudos to my friend who is also an experienced hunter who twisted his ankle the day before and did not shoot.

With him not flinching we got this footage.

Anybody else would have dived for cover.

Seems the video was removed from youtube Ghubert... Do you have a working link?

I have yet to act on it, but 9.3x62 caught my attention recently.

I blame board member "patricksbb391" completely for anything that follows!!! :ar15:

Sometimes a bad influence is good, lol...

Here's my birthday present BAR in 9.3x62 that I got from a board member. So happy & thankful, this is one cool firearm. And yes, I will be hunting with it. Anyone else think the Sightron 2-10x32 looks perfect on the BAR?

Cheers
Jay

Not sure how to post pics but just a typical T3X waiting for its scope to arrive. Also have a T3 Battue hunter in 308 so I know it should shoot!

Damn those browning bar looks great! I have a Belgium made 30-06 it is an awesome rifle, it would be fun to have a 9.3x62!!!

Does anyone know if a peep sight for a BLR will fit a BAR? An XS sights ghost ring would be pretty neat on the x62 bar
