I've got a very rare Remington 700 BDL S/S DM with engraved receiver and a factory 24" sportster barrel. The factory tupperware was sold and replaced with a HS Precision sportster stock. Had some issues getting a load that would shoot inside 1 MOA with this rifle but have since found that it likes H1000 and 120 BT's and 130 AB's.
I also have a SAKO 75 s/s Varminter with laminate stock and heavy fluted 22" barrel. I've set thi srig up for precision LR work on Groundhawgs and targets. I shoot Lapua Senars 108's, 123's and 139's out of this one from Nosler custom brass or Lapua 243 Win necked up. This rifle will do MOA all day long if I'm on my game.
Very comfortable cartridge to shoot and easy to load for. The VS SF II should have came out with this caliber not just the mountain rifles!
I have a Rem 700 VLS in 260 it loves 139 scenars and 142 match kings.
I have shot 4 deer with it none went farther than 80 years. I use the 120 NBT factory Remington load for hunting.
If you are claiming the kill because the deer didn't live eighty years, you've probably killed a bunch, Father Time! And what do bullets and cartridges have to do with old age?
