Looks like what the late Elmer Keith used to describe as "ropes of blood" coming out of the chests of mule deer shot at long range with his .44 Special...
There's all kinds of "wounded", there's only one kind of "dead". Use enough gun.
my dad heart shot a doe this year with his crossbow using crimson talon broadheads and judging by the blood trail, it was bleeding just like this buck.
I shot one with a 300 wiiny a couple of years ago that did that. It was broadside about 150 yards ahead of me and when I hit him it looked like I missed. As I was reloading he turned around and it was just like that a gusher about 2 seconds later he dropped over dead.
The calibre(or even weapon) is irrelevant. With a shot going through the heart and a good exit channel, an animal will bleed out in seconds.
Interesting to see such a good example on film!
