Hi. I have a 10-20x40 compact spotting scope(gold ring) that i have had for at least 10 years. I use it alot, as regular binos. So they are well used. I developed a small chip in the large lens. This happened no idea how but i doubt if its a manufacturer defect. Its almost in the center of the lens. I was under the impression that leupold has a "no matter what" warranty meaning i can drive a truck over my scope and they will replace it. So i was speaking with Korth Group and he says the warranty is for manufacturer defects. So they may charge me. This surprised me.
I dunno. Has leupold changed their policy or have i been dreaming for a long time?
