Anyone else getting fraudulent credit card charges after using X-Reload?

Fraud two month ago. Never bought from X-R. I had purchased from two site sponsors who didn't get back to me. There is a concern here as I don't remember another similar thread in the past. We suddenly don't feel as scary as we used to :); someone should call Ottawa!

Not from x-reloading but a gun store in BC. My on-line CC does not leave the house. I missed a phone call from Visa. When I looked at my account, there was a $30 something Uber-Eats charge from a place in BC. I suspect they tried to 'Go Big' after the Uber-Eats charge went thru. The Go Big, charge did not go thru because of the low $100 limit my online card has. I 'pad' the card to purchase stuff online & check weekly for hacks.

Sounding familiar. My bank said the attempted CC charges were to Uber Eats. My card is only used for online (Amazon mainly) purchases.

They tried to order Pizza Hut just over $100, but my bank blocked it right away.. I ordered a Visa Debit and will be using it from now on.

Recently, I have started a whole new thread where I provided my detailed review of recent CC purchases narrowing down a possible Gun Store, I figured out and exposed in details the possible fraud scheme was used. This thread was locked shortly. The bank has reimbursed me the fraudulent transaction shortly. I seems like absolutely no one cares: not retailer, not a bank either. Even CGN has muted it.

Then I thought to myself, why should I care, whom I try to help? When I make online purchases using CC - I risk bank's money, not mine. If bank is Ok with this kind of widespread fraud situation, sure let them pay for it. All I need is to tell them, this is not my transaction, I dunno, please send me a new card, while I go ahead use a spare from the other bank, which does not care either. This is why CC has 20% interest. Suckers pay it, not me.

So, relax. The more you try to protect yourself from CC fraud - the less job bank will do. Basically you guys contribute to this problem. Just chill.

Close but not quite correct. The bank doesn't pay for the fraud, the retailer takes the loss. That's why the bank doesn't care, because they aren't losing a penny.

The retailer takes the loss and if this continues happening he raises prices to compensate. The retailer doesn't pay for it either in the end.

Consumers pay higher prices to compensate for fraud, not the retailer, not the banks. Banks don't want to cut into the revenue stream by introducing security measures that might restrict their profits from cc usage. Retailers don't want more cc security restrictions either, because that would cut into their sales. Organized crime skims a nice percentage from cc usage and everyone knows it but so long as banks get a piece of the pie they are happy to let us keep paying for it.

CC fraud is a lot more widespread than I imagined. Given the contents of this thread. As already mentioned, it's the business that suffers the loss, not the bank/CC company. Costs roll downhill to the consumer in the form of higher prices. Same for losses do to shoplifting.

My wife hired a limo for a hour long ride home from the hospital after I underwent major surgery. Within days, the CC company called and said my wife's card had been compromised was was cancelled. They would be mailing a new card out within 5 business days.

I just spoke with x-reload and they are investigating this issue. They had a programmer who was working over seas in India who was let go in the end of May, but they have no proof that he hacked into their system. They’ve also had their bank run security checks that haven’t turned up anything yet.

Good to know, thanks for doing that.

Interesting… I bought from X-Reload in early May and shortly after had a fraud charge. First time I’ve had a fraud charge in probably 15 years.

Bought from Xreload the end of April, card had a #### ton of uber eats charges a week later and was cancelled by visa. I don't have an uber eats account.

I had a pile of Uber eats in Amsterdam on mine too about a month ago. Did an order from Xreload maybe a month before that.

Now I know, thx for the thread

Very interesting. I ordered from X-Reload in May, and 2 days later someone started ordering Uber eats using my card. I've never used Uber or Uber eats, but my CC company only flagged them as suspicious and didn't shut the card down until I called in. In the span of 2 days they did it 13 times. I ordered a couple of times from X-Reload earlier this year, no issues.

Just spoke to the owner of Xreload. He was made aware if this end if may.
They hired a company to wipe everything and didn't find Hard proof but they did get an external employee fired because of irregular activities.

Apparently, from june 1st, everything should be back to normal.

That's what i've learned.

Unfortunately, I won't be the first to test this discovery in case there are more "irregular activities"....

Yep, my bank called last week. 4 attempts at using my CC. The only purchase other than the usual Amazon crap lately was not from X-Reload but from IRG.

I had an attempted fraud late last summer. CC company called and asked if I tried to buy a 5000$ computer. They canceled the card and sent a new one. With everything going on, knowing there would be shortages, I had made multiple firearms, optics and ammo purchases, all from site sponsors. IRG was one of them.

I dealt with them twice over the telephone, without any issue................maybe because I'm trilingual? Hopefully some will grasp my message.
