Well, what is coming across is that you should be the one hunting because you have the money to buy new and fancy rigs and that you and your income bracket sit in a different group than people that use economy equipment.
Someone had to say it.
It may not be what you are trying to convey but every time you type it sure comes across as such.
I'll make sure that the people making less than you are made aware of the fact that they shouldn't be hunting or enjoying a hobby if they have to purchase low end rifles.
I am glad that your truck is using $150.00 in a week , good for you , I am so proud that you can spend that kind of money you must be doing so well for yourself!!! Make ya feel better?
NOW , don't get poop behind your ears as you extract your head!!Oh wait, shouldn't be too hard being so narrow minded.![]()
Agree 100% with you! I explained it in one of my previous posts but just a short version. Having an expensive or cheap firearm has to do with alot of things....... lifestyle, passion for firearms, passion for hunting etc. I had made my choice when I was just a kid, and that choice was a fishing rod, rifle, ball glove and lacrosse stick.Yes budget for a small percentage from what I see. Hunting and shooting today is an expensive sport no matter how one looks at it.
So those involved for the most part earn a fair living it is where they decide to spend their money is the real reason why some make the decisions they do. I look just at the small circle within my group. I am the only one forced to retire 15 years early due to health and on a fixed income of 40% what the rest make but I am also the one still buying the best quality I can afford and always picked on during hunting trips about what new gun did I take this time and it must be nice.
No I see a gun I want and then work out a plan how I am going to get the cash. Is there something I can sell etc. Many times I have to save a year but I do.
I don't drive 60,000 trucks, go south two times a year or pay golf dues at three clubs like my buds however. If one would just stop smoking for 12 months he could buy what ever nice rifle he wants .
So to me it is all about choices and the priorities we have as individuals and nothing wrong with that but please stop the crying about what others like to shoot in high end guns most are not snobs just gun owners that worked hard to get what they have and enjoy shooting fine guns. With me also it is about the return on the investment someday.
It's not "big whitetail" it's "big whitetails"...............animals that I worked hard for just like the firearms I worked hard for. Does that make you any "malcontent". Is there anything wrong to work hard for prize positions and passions? You may want to change up your bait or try a slightly different presentation. My suggestion would be to post your 5 pictures of Coopers and "big whitetail", that is sure to make some feel inadequate, it's a little more subtle but it's certain to make some feel inadequate and is likely to solicit the reaction you're trying for...![]()

I think that you need a big hug. Looks like your not having a nice day.Well, what is coming across is that you should be the one hunting because you have the money to buy new and fancy rigs and that you and your income bracket sit in a different group than people that use economy equipment.

Why would I be?You are kidding right? Please tell me all your posts in this thread were in jest.
Why would a person purchase these junk firearms

I think its a fine analogy. If you baby a quality car it will last just as long as if you baby a quality gun. Treat either like crap and they won't last long. The analogy ends when it comes to your grand kids wanting it. I would have done anything for my grandfathers GTO, but I have no interest in his guns. I might take one for sentiment, but I have pictures for that so probably not. In reality they will be sold to the highest bidder in an estate sale.
As for the quality vs budget gun debate, different people see value in different things. You will never catch me driving anything less then a Lexus/Acura/Infiniti and even then its borderline depending on model. Also I believe anything less then a "mid luxury" car is crap not worth buying. But honestly, I don't see the value in 'high end' guns over my 290 dollar axis. Different things for different people.
Feeling inferior of me again hoytcanon.................usually it comes form the jealous type. Funny how one's success breeds envy, resentment and name calling from others like yourself. Thats two innuendo's from you lately.............watchout you might get an infraction for name calling.I am not siding with any party in saying this (any value in this thread was over pages ago)... But you guys can't let Track's arrogance and demeaning nature, get under your skin... Just let him deposit his nuggets of "vast and irrefutable wisdom" and depart... Back to his house built of whitetail antlers... No windows, so throwing stones is permissible.

Jealousy rearing it's ugly head again. People just don't like other people being successful or having nice possessions. You el al seem to have a hang-up over good people who are successful..............very sad.track, comments like this you should feel very proud of giving. Such a humble act...![]()
The original post spoke of "economy rifles cheapening
brands" first. Of course they do. If something is easy to get
for everyone is isn't very valuable.
Then the OP spoke in a "derogatory manner" about young
hunters with said cheap rifles. So am I to feel mocked for
shooting a Savage that has printed me a 4 round 0.68MOA group
at 200M and supporting my family in a responsible way
rather than spending $1000+ and optics and ignoring
my responsibilities? Many of the follow on posts denigrate 40
something's like myself who are in similar positions.
All the success and money in the world obviously doesn't make one a better person.
Riches are not always monetary, and there are a few here who's bank accounts don't make up for their shortcomings in other areas.
Absolutely ignorant......
