Fellows, I've got a sporterized (bbl cut, original sights gone, wood cut etc) Ross in .303 British that cycles and shoots great, except the sights that were installed by whoever sporterized it, well, they basically suck. I've got a few other open sighted rifles for short range truck gun duty and I really don't need another, so I'm thinking of scoping it, rather than installing fancier sights. It looks like a simple D&T would do the job, but as I've never seen a scoped Ross, I started to wonder if there's something I'm missing.
So, any reason not to D&T this non-restorable sportered Ross?
