Shot my Alfa 9mm for the first time today. Love its caliber, size, ergonomics, overall quality of fit, handling, accuracy, quick reloads with moonclips and reasonable price. It's got a matt blued finish that is ok but not as attractive as the polished blue of a Smith Wesson model 10, for example. Finish is not an issue for me.
It came with the reduced power spring, so my CCI-primered reloads did not ignite reliably, but those that did hit the plates solidly and showed this gun has a lot of potential. I'm sure that feeding it propery loaded federal primed ammo will make it as reliable and enjoyable as any SW or Ruger revolver.
Those with large fingers may find the shape of the finger rubber grips may cramp your middle finger and make your knuckle sore. Reshaping the finger groove is the cure. This is a handy and relatively compact revolver with roughly the same size and weight as a Smith and Wesson K frame.
Even with its short 4.5 inch barrel, I could hit speed steel plates at 10-15 meters.
