Anyone got experience with a SA NM M1A...

This is exactly what I am getting from my loaded SAI rifle with rem core lokt.

With reloads or quality factory ammo Nosler Accubond 165 gr Match, your likely to cut that in half, Corelockt is a pretty entry level ammo... JP.

Congrats on your purchase and have fun shooting her! I would use match ammo for best results or handloads. As for a scope mount I would go with a ARMS 18 new rail or an older split-rail if I had to choose! What did you name her? :D

I have a brand new Elcan Specter 1.5X6 calibrated for the 7.62X51, i never got to use it on nothing, i think it would be at home on my NM M1A... JP.
The Elcan Specter 1.5X6 calibrated for 7.62X51 will be fun on your NM M1A, to mount that on your M1A you will need the GDI G1-optic (OSM)w/Acog mount, the rail on the GDI is longer towards you so that you can mount any types of optics like Elcan, Acog, etc.....with the Elcan Spector 1.5X6.....I can't imagine how fast you can get it onto your target!!!.
I use high power glass, Acog, Leupold red-dot and iron-sight on some of my M1A's.....iron-sights are cool, but it is slow as Flick, I use my M1A to run 2 guns sometimes...with a scope on it....it's 3X faster than using iron...iron is for people who likes to take their sweet a$$ time on the bench/ off hands.:rolleyes like my girl friends

Yikes...I know that the "loaded" SAI rifles aren't glass bedded, nor do I believe their gas systems are unitized as with the NM models. It would be worth looking into doing this IF these results repeat themselves with other ammo types (provided the ammo is of good quality and specs for the M1A gas system).

I totally agreed with you man, I use Sierra 155gr, HPBT match king, the grouping is 1.5" or better at 200 on the loaded M1A scoped The NF NSX at 15 power...consistently.

The rifle is not a loaded.
It is a National Match model NA9102.
I know because I bought its twin the same day.

Prophet River should be receiving the rifles by next Friday or the following Monday the latest according to Clay.

I will hopefully be attending Hungry's M 14 clinic in Petawawa in October.

I think those factory Nosler Accubond 165 gr ( bought 600 when they were 199.00 for 200 round, deal of the century ) will be quite accurate in my NM M1A, every rifles i tried them in, gave me stellar results... JP.

If you get 1.5 inches at 100 yards you are doing very well. Take a look at the Fulton web site ... Fulton Armory Precision Guarantee: Under 1.5 MOA (With Hornady® Match™ Ammunition) for their version of the rifle.

http://www.fulton-armory.com/fultonarmoryusriflecal762mmm14-1-1-1-6.aspx

I assume Springfield should be about the same.

Based on the Fulton warranty, we should not be talking about one lucky group - it should literally do it every time.
does this site ship to canada cause they have some nice sights i need haha

I get sub-MOA with my bone stock Norinco!:ninja: That's only with Norinco :pirate:762Match ammo of course if you're wondering.

What does sub-MOA mean when applied to any M-14 rifle or M-14 clone?

It means your rifle should group consistently 5/5 on the side of an O class Submarine if both you and the sub are inside the same drydock.;)

I just about peed my self laughing over that one!

IMHO it should do minute of Moose with 4 follow up shots if required (which are usually a waste of time and ammo).

.;)

I've heard that from lots of guys, but they only shoot like that when you are all alone. The rifle has some special feature that prevents this from occurring in front of an audience. To have that feature removed will cost an additional $2500.

Clay as send me a PM stating that my NM M1A is in the mail, cant wait to give my old faithfull M-305 to my older granson... JP.

I have one, loaded SS in mail too, I hope a 0.5 -1 moa in a jae stock but i will keep all my m305 for chinese ammo and corrosive stuff

I intend to feed my NM M1A a diet of Nosler 168 gr Match factory ammo, did strike a great deal with a non site sponsor, last year, early summer for 37 box @ the price of 600.00 all in, i am sure those high accurate rounds will shine in my rifle, they are giving sub MOA .6-.7 in my Zastava Mannlicher 308... JP.
