Norinco Haters Look Away!
I took my new railed NP-22 to the range for a little break in shoot today.
Bottom line: Amazing!
I was already a Norinco fan as I consider my Police Model 1911 from Can-am one of my favorite pistols but this little guy has sealed the deal. (Yes I think it's little because all my other pistols weight in at over 40 ounces.)
In just over 150 reload rounds I had zero malfunctions of any kind. Bear in mind I made these myself and I have only limited experience loading 9mm so I was really pleased with zero problems both from a new pistol and my reloads.
Double action is a little heavy and will probably work in a bit with firing or a good detail strip and lube. Still, it was doable considering I am not the best first round double action shooter.
I'm not target shooter but single action was fine and with a bit of practice I could put in decent shots on a paper plate sized target even out at the maximum range of 25 meters for the indoor range.
These groups were at 15 yards or so. The target on the left is double action/ decocked between each shot. The crappy flyers are my fault not the gun's. The right target is single action. I shot both groups medium fast but the accuracy potential of the pistol is excellent and the sights are well regulated.
Sights, grip angle and controls seem exactly like a friend's 220 I shot recently. His vintage German made gun has a much nicer blue finish but for the money I am pleased. I would love to own his but it's worth 5 times more than mine.
It's a decent Sig copy for the money and I think that's its strength, that it is a Sig copy. Sig did the engineering and the design shines through even in a clone made in China.
Get one. Better yet, get two.
