Anyone bought and recieved a new NP22 with a rail? I'd love to see some pics :) I'll probably be getting one (or a 1911) for my B day in a couple of months.

there's a large, good quality picture of it on marstars website, top of this page...and on plenty of other websites found through google..

It's here! It's here!
The fit and finish is like my Norc Police model...okay but nothing to write home about.
In terms of being a Sig clone, grips, sights, ergos, it's pretty awesome; affter all, it steals from the best. I am pretty pleased with it for the layout of cash it represents.

Pictures and range report soon. I hope it shoots like my other Norc which is one of the most accurate and reliable 1911's I own. Tomorrow is range night. I'll let you know.

Norinco Haters Look Away!

I took my new railed NP-22 to the range for a little break in shoot today.

Bottom line: Amazing!

I was already a Norinco fan as I consider my Police Model 1911 from Can-am one of my favorite pistols but this little guy has sealed the deal. (Yes I think it's little because all my other pistols weight in at over 40 ounces.)

In just over 150 reload rounds I had zero malfunctions of any kind. Bear in mind I made these myself and I have only limited experience loading 9mm so I was really pleased with zero problems both from a new pistol and my reloads.

Double action is a little heavy and will probably work in a bit with firing or a good detail strip and lube. Still, it was doable considering I am not the best first round double action shooter.

I'm not target shooter but single action was fine and with a bit of practice I could put in decent shots on a paper plate sized target even out at the maximum range of 25 meters for the indoor range.

These groups were at 15 yards or so. The target on the left is double action/ decocked between each shot. The crappy flyers are my fault not the gun's. The right target is single action. I shot both groups medium fast but the accuracy potential of the pistol is excellent and the sights are well regulated.

Sights, grip angle and controls seem exactly like a friend's 220 I shot recently. His vintage German made gun has a much nicer blue finish but for the money I am pleased. I would love to own his but it's worth 5 times more than mine.

It's a decent Sig copy for the money and I think that's its strength, that it is a Sig copy. Sig did the engineering and the design shines through even in a clone made in China.

Get one. Better yet, get two.;)

I had the chance to shoot a new NP22 with rail on Monday. Fit and finish were acceptable with no visible tool marks and no rough areas. Over 50 rounds of PMC 9mm there were no malfunctions. Double action pull was heavy and could use some smoothing (likely a good teardown and cleaning will address some of this). Single action trigger was acceptable but still heavy. At 20 yards the gun was shooting about 3 inches low and 3 inches left but with a 6 oclock hold. Placing the white front dot on the bull would adjust for the low hits. 10 round group at 20 yards was 4 inches tall and about 6-7 inches wide including a shot pulled significantly to the left. I had heard that the grip was a weak point of the gun but it was comfortable and looked ok. All 4 mags purchased with the gun all worked with no issues.

Bottom line: If you want a reliable gun to take to the range that is fun to shoot and won't break the bank this gun will fit the bill. If you are looking for a $1200 sig, buy a $1200 sig.

Can you rephrase the question? I'm not sure what you mean by wings on the locking block. Are you thinking of the barrel or the part that sits in the frame?

I can post a picture of the part once I know what you want to see.

I have read on another site that the accuracy of the NP-22 begins to suffer at distance's further than 10 yards. Maybe those of you that have purchased the NP-22 can confirm or disprove what I have read and wkoop's experience. I'm sure everyone is interested.

No shipping notice yet. I emailed them a week after placing the order and I was told that they're backed up and that the items get shipped in the order they're received, and that I would get a tracking # once they shipped it. I sent them another email today (now 3 weeks since the order was placed) to see what the order status is.
