I have one. In 38 spl. It looks nice and is fairly well made. It does attract a lot of attention. It is a funny firearm to shot. You get a lot of "backsplash" every time you pull the trigger. Burnt powder and such. It is messy to shoot. You can always feel it on your face. I find it difficult to hit anything with it. Mind you, I spend 90% of my handgun time with a cap and ball Remington. So I have never given the Schofield a real chance. I am fairly good with the remingtons. If I had the money and chance, I would buy another one just like it at the drop of a hat. Go for it. You will not be sorry.
