Anyone have a uberti schofield?

I have one. In 38 spl. It looks nice and is fairly well made. It does attract a lot of attention. It is a funny firearm to shot. You get a lot of "backsplash" every time you pull the trigger. Burnt powder and such. It is messy to shoot. You can always feel it on your face. I find it difficult to hit anything with it. Mind you, I spend 90% of my handgun time with a cap and ball Remington. So I have never given the Schofield a real chance. I am fairly good with the remingtons. If I had the money and chance, I would buy another one just like it at the drop of a hat. Go for it. You will not be sorry.

I've got the .44 Russian version with the spur trigger guard. Expensive as Cowboy guns go, but I can't #### it with one paw. Great two paw gun.

I am reluctantly willing to part with it for that reason.

Thanks for the input guys much appreciated, I'm still on the fence between this and a good compact semi-rifle... I just really like top break revolvers for some reason, reliable and just something about they way they eject spent casings ;)

I have one in .45 LC that I was running in CAS, I found that I shot very well with mine, though it is a bit of a stretch to reach the hammer with your thumb if firing one-handed. I really loved how much it sped up reloads when on the clock.

They are well made and a blast to shoot. Seeing the spent casing eject is pure fun....

Like the look of em but if you want a break top revolver, spend the money and get a webley. Cant go no better. Fast, accurate ( they call em wobleys but id trust my life to one) and antique so you can shoot em anywhere.
