Bought 2 butler creek magazines for the 10/22. Steel lip 25 round count. Both jammed right out of the box using federal champion. Same ammo feeds flawlessly with the factory rotary mag so I'm sure it's not the ammo.
Noticed that the spring was sticking and not pushing the rounds up, did some research so I left it loaded for a few days.
Still jamming. I noticed that once you put in more than 12 rounds that the angle of the cartridge would change and sit lower than it is supposed. This caused the tip of the bullet to catch on the edge of the steel lip and not feed out of the mag. I am contemplating filing that part so it can feed clear of the edge.

Any other suggestions before I make permanent alterations and throw them away???
