Anyone have info on Magnum P.I.'s 1911?

Damn near p*ssed myself when I saw this! - saw it at the same time the news was doing a bit on the ### pride parade in Vancouver.

I used to live downtown, had to witness the "parade" every year(from the eyepiece of my bushnell mildot), funny though almost everyone had staches even the women.

MPI is correct, the story went it was his serivce issue .45 from the SEALS. As a huge Magnum PI fan and I watch the reruns everyday on satalite, I have head on few occasions Tom Sellek mention that on the show how it was his .45.

Now we need to know what kind of .45 Selleck uses when he plays the Jesse Stone character in the Robert Parker stories that have been made into movies recently. Seems to be some kind of customized .45 with Novak style sights.

remember the episode with the kung fu assassin guy that was killing folks. Magnum fights him in some cememtary gets a bit of an asskicking then gets thrown on the ground just as the kung fu guy is about to give him the death punch.

then the kung fu guy realises magnums 45 is now stuck under his chin as magnum lays bleeding on the ground.

and he says something like to the kung fu guy as he cocks it

"give it up,no ones that fast" .

They both look at each other and the kung fu guy smiles

Then show show ends with the sound of the 45 going off

great stuff

In the Jessie Stone show I thought I saw a Thunder Ranch Logo on The
grip Panel.I could be wrong.I'm due for one this year LOL.

Yeah, I was pretty young when Magnum was on TV... but I used to get pumped everytime the show started :D

Great show!!

If I remember correctly, Magnum says "don't even blink..." and the guy closed his eyes, then "BLAM":D

No it was because the kung fu guys only fault in combat was he blinked before he striked, he got a tip from some other shaolin guy, any they are there the guy standing over magnum and he has the gun in his face and he does say "no ones that fast"

He refers to the guy not being faster than the press of a trigger, then the guy blinks and the show ends with a boom!!

Actually, Magnum gets the tip on the fighter blinking before he strikes from his buddy TC who was defeated by the fighter earlier in the episode.

ya that sounds familiar TC tries to mess with him or something and ends up in the hospital and mentions it to him inbetween passing out or some crap.

You used to be able to get WW2 .45's for about 300 or so but any
more they are going for a beat up copy at about 600. I bought a US&S version in BC about 20 years ago for 200.00, about the second lowest man. of government issued .45's. Was offered 1500.00 but I said no thanks, you can see them time to time on here for about 500.00
