I've been looking around quite a bit and can't seem to locate any Magpul SGA stocks for a 590A1 anywhere! Anyone know where I might get one? I need one in black. I've found some for the 870, just can't seem to find any in Canada for the 590. I posted a wanted ad in the EE as well, but so far no luck.

Good luck bud, they're a really hot item right now. There's always Brownells, and Wolverine told me they are expecting Magpul shipment sometime soon.

Since about 200 or so shorty 590's came up for sale here with full sized crappy stocks, this has been a hot item. When the SGA's come in stock I'll buy one. I can't ignore the great reviews for them.

If you want alternatives, there is:

1) Hogue regular and short LOP stock @ taccessories
2) ATI Talon pistol grip/M4 collapsible stock @ Wolverine
3) Choate pistol grip stock @ Brownell's
4) Magpul SGA @ Brownell's if they will ship it (some say YES, others say NO).
5) Tapco M4 collapsible stock (you will have to search as I'm unsure who has it in stock)
6) Several 'reduced recoil system' and folding stocks for the 500/590 @ Cabela's. Any stock made for the 500 will fit the 590.
7) 500 Wood furniture. I'm still looking for a wood set with a short 6.5" forend. Anyone have a set, PM me.

Check for IN STOCK status at those retailers. May be available elsewhere.

Thanks guys, I figured the high demand was likely the cause for the difficulty to locate one. I do like the stock, like some of you I first tried it on my 870 and it feels awesome! Aside from being very comfortable, I also want it on my 590 because I find the length of pull on that factory stock to be too long for me.

I like the long LOP my 590 originally had and wanted to maintain that.
Some of my shotguns I want in tight, some I want extended. I can handle and be comfortable with both.

Question for you guys that have a SGA specifically on a 590A1. I just received my 14" SG and one of the things I dislike about it is the stock. For me, it's not just the LOP but the grip angle of the stock. When my hand is in the most comfortable position, low on the pistol grip, my trigger finger just barely covers the trigger. Would the grip angle of the SGA improve this?

My 870 Express is perfect for me in this regard and have not once felt uncomfortable with it, even with the cheap wood stocks.

Cool thanks! In my searches I also found some pics of 590's with FDE SGA's, they don't look too darn shabby either!!
The FDE looks great IMO. Black is just so typical and a safe typical choice. When I was ordering mine, black wasn't even considered. I was set on FDE, but then Stealth Gray came out, and that was it.
Only reason my 870 has black is because it's a Magpul cerakote edition and came that way, plus I got it for a good price used.

Yeah, I ended up getting the FDE from CTC supplies. So the 590A1 will be FDE and the 870 will be black (both with Magpul SGA and MOE foregrip). Now the hard part will be picking which shotgun to do all my training on :)

It's the nature of the Mossberg design...... you need long fingers! The Magpul stock looks as good as it can be without going to a pistol grip.

Yes, but does the Magpul stock help remedy this situation?
I believe it will. The ergros on the SGA grip are significantly better than the factory stock. It relaxes your wrist, and brings your hand closer to the trigger group.

That's good news! I was wondering if I might have to unload the Mossy but I wasn't looking forward to doing that. If it does work out for the best, I'll consider it a must have item for any future Mossberg SG I may own.

Got my new Magpul stuff today. The FDE color looks pretty sweet on these shotguns!!
