Anyone making plans for this fall?

I'm planning on having the last phase of my current project ready to turn over by the end of September. Then I'm going to look at taking 4 or 5 weeks off to go hunting... :D:D:D:D:D

Not really fall, but we'll be putting forth a HUGE effort this August for these guys...

My apologies for the Sasquatch quailty pics.

Priority one will be waiting on the results of a tall odds draw for Roosevelt Elk around here.

When that doesn't happen:rolleyes: It'll be at a week in the interior for late season whitetail and muleys. Blacktails at home before and after..

well, got my fingers crossed for the upcoming spring griz draw.

spring; turkey and maybe black bear.

fall; deer and elk as usual. maybe hunt a little further back for sheep. and depending on what else i have going on, might make a 5-7 day trek for goat.

Well besides keeping an eye out on my Bee hives for Black Bears this spring, will be looking for a good energetic young blood such as myself for a fall sheep hunt, in mid BC, going for California Big Horns this year the stone sheep can have a rest this year, but I hate going alone (for fear of injury in the middle of no where).
Currently I have a large cat situation on my back door that is taking the ungulate count down around here, I just hung another buck head up in the trees for the birds/flies to clean up, that's two dead deer found by the dogs in the backyard from the Cat kill's this past month.
Everytime I come across this cat in my backyard I have nothing but a stick in my hand, but once I had my 30.06 and missed (lucky cat that day and dumbass behind the trigger).
Been craving some kitty for dinner lately, one of my favorites.
So for now I've got Cat (cougar) on the brain, but would like it if I could win a draw for Rosevelt Elk on the Island.
Good luck to all those out there, with their draws this year.

Man, am I ever jealous of all the hunting seasons in the west and the variety of game. I'm already planning the black bear strategies, and figuring my whitetail spots, but I have to wait for August to start baiting blackies. I started trying to call coyotes a week ago, 1st stand 15 minutes in and out pops wylie, I very confidently take aim and miss, stupid, stupid, stupid. Pretty cool to call one in and had a fox come in a little while later. I think I'm hooked, this is the year for new addictions, black bear and yotes.

Having been unable to get out for the last two years for various reasons, needless to say I've been planning a white tail/mulie hunt for a verrrrry long time now!November can't come soon enough!:D

Well,

Depends on antlerless deer, and moose and elk draws, but I'd like to try again in Region 8 where I saw several deer, but not the right one in 2006.

Always like to go to Region 5 to hunt deer too, so I'll wait and see if the moose draw works out and I can combine the trips.

And if Region 8 doesn't pan out early in the season, I have access to private land for the November 4x4 hunt during the rut.

Looking for a whitetail outfitter in Saskatchewan.
I keep hearing about those monster whitetails out there......figure its about time to go have a look.

I'm not any ways near an outfitter,(read novice)but if your lookin fer a partner near the alberta/sask border give me a pm and i'd love to accomodate ya.

pending o nthe funds this spring/summer i plan to go for a guided Fall bear hunt if i can find a place that i dont have to go to far from either an airport or bus depot or has airport/bus depot pick upprobebly wont be doing deer next year as the cold has been brutal on my leg the past months * lots of pain managment additives *

well spring turkey 's coming up soon. then when fall hits there'll be a few days of grouse, maybe some ducks, and hopefully can wangle of 3 days for deer hunting. also hoping to be drawn for late elk. wwas talking with a co worker who has done a fair bit of caribou hunting in the NWT's, said there is a place i could drive into, but can't remember the name of it. maybe in a year and a bit...
