Welcome to the forum.
You are going to get some very mixed replies.
Canada has certainly changed tremendously over the last decade, and imho, not for the better.
The issue is, where does one go? Immigration to other countries can be immensely difficult, unlike to Canada where citizenship comes in a cornflakes box.
Also other countries have also changed. I know some Canadian/American (dual citizens) who are also forum members here, and they would never think about moving to the USA now. They have some major social issues down there, their education is abysmal, crime is very high, etc. None of that will get fixed anytime soon. Also some of their firearms laws are actually worse than in Canada, state dependant.
Where does one go? Europe? Same mess, if not worse. Australia / NZ? If you thought it was bad here, they are far more draconian nowadays.
So one has few options. All I can say is get out and vote this federal election.
