Can't say i have an opinion on the rifle itself, but the marketing technique is kind of annoying. Reminds me of disney; "This is your last chance to buy "Cinderella" on DVD before we put it back in the vault forever"

The first years models are all going to say that on them, that is a it. This is not a limited run.

Thats $202 more and personally not a fan of synthetic stocks (minus McMillian) or WSM cartridges plus the boss system has never done it for me. I think it looks goofy and most of my guns with handloads will shoot better than me anyways without the need of it. But I apreciate you taking the time to answer

the pic is posted above ...i know that the tupperware stock is not nice ..but like i said i hunt a lot ...as for the boss u have to find the sweet spot or else it is useless ..oh yes it's hard on the eardrums ..
In my mind, Winchester kind of let me down when they ceased production. I know it was necessary, but I can't help but wonder where they cut cornors to make the rifles profitable. After a few years, I may consider one, not now.
Nice bull and gun. Just not my cup of tea thats all. I also try to hunt as much as possible not many things better. Have you tried that boss attachment without the muzzle break or is the recoil to much then with a lightweight gun and a magnum round? Recoil is an issue for me as I like to practice alot and recoil can wear me down all my magnum rifles are 9lbs minimum. 30-06 is about as large as I like in 7 1/2 lbs or lighter

If I had the dough, I might just do that. Sadly, that's not likely. The model 70 has to be better than ANY Remington.

no i have not tried the 300 wsm without the boss ..i removed the browning recoil pad [hockey puck] and installed a LIMBSAVER ..which was a good investment ..the only thing i don't like is the noise from the boss [muzzlebreak] i now hunt with ear plugs..i used to hunt with a REMINGTON model 700 ,bolt action 30-06 for some 30 odd years ..but when i started to go to caniapisceau for caribou i wanted something that would reach out further ..

Browning....klunky plastic stock...ugly girlie muffler attachment thingie on the muzzle.......ridiculous mag abortion,half floorplate, half detachable.....easily broken tang on detach mag box.....just an overpriced ugly high maintenance club.
