Anyone received the Walther PDP yet? Thoughts?

Good to know about the Canik mags.

I returned the PPQ Mounting plate well over a week ago, and still no RMR/Holosun Mounting Plate. I am assuming that Plate is in high demand and is therefore the delayed one described by Gravel above. Still bumming, sitting here with a new pistol that I cannot shoot....

They have the rmr plates but not the screws yet. I'm waiting on the same thing. The dpp plate uses the existing screws so those are available right away.

I wrote to them a couple of days ago to ask where the new plate was (also sent the PPQ plate back a few weeks ago). They said there's a screw kit its supposed to come with they don't have in stock. Turns out the Trijicon RMR screws are too long for the plate.
Holosun comes with shorter screws though, so I asked them to mail the plate out without them. Should be here on Monday, will report back if it works out (I'm mounting a HE508T).

I have been waiting for about a month now for the Holosun mounting plate. Will get my Holosun HS507C-X2 Acss Vulcan next week. Hopefully the plate will be here in the next few weeks.

My RMR plate arrived today (asked Gravel to send it without the screws). Works fine with my Holosun HE508T, just use the small screws in the bag to mount and the original screws on the PDP from the placeholder plate.

Gravel - mail out the RMR/Holosun mounting plate without screws!! Those of us mounting holosun optics do not need the extra screws!!!

Seconded. The plates could easily be sent now, with the screws coming later. Lots of users will be running a Holosun or will already have screws.

My question is why is it taking so long for them to get the screws?

This is becoming a huge joke and embarrassment for Walther and Gravel.

I was seriously considering buying a PDP but with this kind of crappy customer support I think I better look elsewhere.

Maybe they are waiting for Walther Germany to make them?

Surely Gravel could send an employee down to the local Fastenal shop and buy a box of 100 of each type and size they need and get them out to customers via courier.

None of this surprises me, I had a similar "fiasco" with a CHPWS plate, it was a very negative experience, with me returning the incorrectly labeled plate, and then just getting "ghosted". Maybe they are in trouble? who knows.

Never buying walther again. imagine if any of us need warranty work on a PDP if just getting the optic plate is such a hassle. Bunch of incompetent muppet.

What are the PDP models available? & is there a 4.6" version with a threaded barrel?

Walther says there is but as far as I can tell none have made it to Canada.

Looks like there are going to be 3 TB versions, a compact 4.6" TB, fullsize 4.5" TB and a 5.1" TB

Right now spare mags for the full size and all models except the compact 5" are vapourware.

The compact version uses PPQ mags so there should be some of those floating around at dealers.

OK, what about the non threaded versions? and hows the compact compare to the full size, if there are any owner/operators out there?

Canada seems to be in line to get 3, maybe 4 non threaded versions.

5" compact, 4.5 compact, 4.5 full size and 5" full size.

Have to leave comments about about frame size etc. to others as I am not one of the few who landed one out of the first batch.

I expect that if PPQ mags will fit the compact frame will feel roughly the same in the hand as a PPQ frame in terms of length. The full size is longer. It uses a 10/18 rd mag which is longer than the PPQ mags.

Got an email confirmation today that my RMR/Holosun Optics Plate is finally enroute to me. I don't know if the screws are included in the package.
