Anyone Recognize These Clowns???

I take any threats seriously, and I'm sure the police would be more interested in persons threatening in such a manner than they would be in someone poaching ducks (though the latter is serious enough.)

Also, I take very seriously anything that can be construed as a tactical disadvantage to our cause here on CGN.

I didn't become a responsible owner of firearms to have that tarnished by ANYONE, poachers or people who consider threats as an option in a disagreement.

Since both of these events have occurred in public view on the internet, I'm sure you can see my point, and since you appear (unless I'm grossly reading this wrong) to be the person who is alleged to have made the comments, I find your suggestion that I choose my battles wisely to be somewhat disingenious.

I also suspect that the comments posted are already the subject of investigation.

Hopefully not to the detriment of what we tried to do here to catch these guys.

:(

Response sent via PM, as to not clutter up the thread.

This is a good example of how one legal owner of guns can make some brutally stupid comments on the net and it will come back to haunt us all. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As far as I'm concerned it was just as stupid as they guys who this whole thread was started!!!!

PM Recieved. I can hear Cindy Lauper singing "True Colours" in my head. AHhhhhhh!!!!

The things said and done by other people with firearms is DEFINITELY our business. Not only is it the responsible thing to do, but our future freedoms depend on it.

Then do it.

If you want to act like an "Internet Freedom Fighter", go all the way with it.

I didnt know these guys were from Canada. I posted this before but dont think anyone saw it. I swear I saw a handgun on his waist at around 2:46. Not 100% sure though.

Lazedout,
when did you post it. Just out of interest. While not funny, if its 1987 it may set a different light.

EDIT: PS don't swear if your not sure. Actually I just had word, don't swear.

he posted on page 21 all though the handgun in the pants was talked about back on pg 2 or 3

I dont think he meant that he had posted the vidio

I agree this is not a hunting thread topic but it should be shown were the most would view it to help in identifing these, what ever they are.

I have read every post on this thread. I went back and look for the handgun at 2:46. It isnt a gun in his waist. It is his underwear sticking out. He is one of these fools running around with his shorts hanging down below his butt.

Shax1101 & thedeclined2004 youtube accounts are gone. Whether Youtube closed them or they closed them themselves is unknown.

I just emailed the Sun reporter (Dave Dormer), asking him to continue with this story. Hopefully it doesn't slip by the wayside.

Mr. Dormer,

On behalf of hunters and gun owners everywhere, I wish to thank you for running with that story. I realize that the issue may be minor to some, and in no way Pulitzer material - but sincerely wish you continue pursuing this.

The Youtube accounts of two of the individuals (Shax1101 & thedeclined2004) have been closed in the last 24 hrs. Whether through the investigative process, or a kneejerk re-action by the individuals.

In one of the weblogs loaded by "thedeclined2004", he mentioned that his name was Jay from Toronto, but did "live as far away as Saskatchewan".

Again, thank you for your intervention, and hope that you continue to check into this from time to time.

He responded!

Thanks Richard, much appreciated. As someone who grew up hunting and shooting myself, it was fairly shocking to see someone not only film themsleves doing this but actually uploading it to the Internet. I'm keeping in touch with the authorities in Alberta and Sask. and hoping I can do an update story on charges being laid in the near future.
Please let me know if you hear anything about this or any other issues.
Cheers,

Dave Dormer

In all seriousness, it was pretty stupid to post on the guys youtube page threatening him with a firearm...In the Authorities eyes that is a MUCH more heinous crime than plinking ducks.
The EXCELLENT PR that CGN recieved is most definately reversed by stupid comments like that.

:D
In the eyes of John & Jane Public those comments lumped us all into the same category as the lakeside duck "hunters"..........dangerous & destructive idiots that need to be disarmed.

Seems that some of us have an uncanny knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory & doing the antis job for them.
