Anyone remember the Calico ?

LOL I'll give you the Vector but, to my shame, there is something about the UTS 15 that just looks... awesome.
Am I the only one who thinks that ridiculous lump of vents, magazines, and possibly mind-control devices would be fun to see whenever you opened up the gun collection? Maybe I just need a bigger... truck. (I don't drive a truck)

No worries, just yankin yer chain young man !!!

Ahh the Calico, back before it was prohibed, my club was having a demo day where there were a number of firearms available to try.
I had already decided to buy something so I narrowed my choices to three
1- the Calico M-100
2- H&K SP-89
3- Colt Sporter Match HBar

I eventually chose the Colt, I really dodged the bullet that day. The other 2 were both prohibed without compensation.

Given the possible outcome of the 2015 election, sadly I don't think you will have dodged the bullet...it is just coming at you at a lower velocity....time will tell.

I can't speak for the Rimfire, but I remember the 9mm was easy to load and there were no feeding issues. It could be kept loaded with no spring tension and then wound just before use too. Seeing as the rounds were positioned nose to base and all separated by the helical carrier there is no reason to think that it would be problematic with Rimfire rounds.

Is there any info out there about how the mag was built and functioned? Anybody have an original mag they want to share pics and details of?

EDIT - Never mind, I found their mag patent in the US database. It is #5,335,579 if anyone cares to look at it. The patent office wants to charge for a copy, but you can get the pdf straight from google if you search on the patent number.

You can say what you want about Rock (and it would be rightly deserved), but you gotta put blame where it's due. It was that b**** Kim Campbell who took the Calicos (and SPAS-12, Barretts, Tec-9s, etc.) away without compensation.

Ah yes. I see I missed the "former prohibited weapons order #11" at the top of that section when I was digging through the prohibited weapons regulations of the CC looking for the Calico name. That's OK, though. I despise Campbell and every other red tory just as much as Rock.

If you've ever wondered why the Calico got prohibited but the AR remained restricted, well...

Hahaha! Don't bring an AR to a Calico fight!!

Where the hell did you find that?

Bahahaha! good call...if it matters i think those are also equally if not more hideous.
Oh please....this coming from the generation that invented the UTS 15......a 47 pound pump action shotgun that has more ports than a Klingon battle cruiser and sometimes even works...and the Kris Vector ?..12 pounds of LEGO to fire a 45ACP round...WTF...?..;)

I'm surprised they didnt ban pickup trucks and menacing sneers after watching that.

2 calicos vs 100 AR's, and the AR's didn't stand a chance. The AR's seem really harmless, that guy had to be shot dozens of times before he fell. They should totally make AR's non-restricted, and have mini versions for kids lunchboxes.
