Anyone shooting IPSC mini rifle?

Here's my SBI Superlite. May try and get to a mini rifle match.

* Tandemkross 22 brake
* Tandemkross extended mag release
* Eotech XPS on unity mount
* Eotech EFLX on vortex 45* mount
* 25rnd mags (HC3R)
* Magpul buttstock
* BCM stubby foregrip
* MFT grip

I can't get the HC3R mags to work well in my 2 SBI builds. The bolt seems to get hung up on them. Did you have to file the feed lips on them or is there another trick to get them running well?

The SBI Remington adapter and mags work better for me.

To be honest haven't shot this build yet. I'll keep you posted.

I am hopeful for the division especially it takes off and grows at its own matches.
So far my only experience with it has been at mixed IPSC pistol and mini rifle matches.

Competing at a pistol match while wailing away on full size targets with a rifle and 25 round mags is like being the smartest kid in retard class.
It's fun to go fast but there's less challenge In it. No, I haven't forgotten about PCC but shooting .22 is just different.

I would like to see rifle matches where the targets are all ipsc micro' and the steel is small and calibrated for .22
Adding some distance in there would be cool. Having a need for some sort of LPVO or magnifier makes it more of a proper rifle match but scoring, patching and resetting would take longer.

So what is the "Go To" for rifles in Mini Rifle?

Reliability has to be top priority, times are generally so close that even a single failure / jam up will destroy your run (have seen this many times in PCC). So what is reliable? Some of the newer Turkish offerings seem like a decent fit but are they?

Qualities that I imagine are important:

1) Reliability
2) Large mags (25 rounds as opposed to 10 - guessing this is acceptable in Mini Rifle?)
3) Weight / size
4) Last round bolt hold open (seems this is pretty hit or miss with these guns with many not having it)
5) AR ish controls
6) Accuracy (goes without saying, but in high speed IPSC type games reasonable will do if it ticks the other boxes)

The holy grail in bold.

That seems to be the problem.

TM-22 seems to be fav but then some reliability issues with mags
10-22 more reliable but mostly only with it's factory ruger mags that are all 10rnds.

whats currently available here in Canada seems to be a bit of a trade off on something.

Hey folks,
Anyone here running mini rifle IPSC?
What are your setups?Rifle ,optics?
I see there are a few clubs running matches in Ontario this year. I haven’t shot IPSC mainly Outlaw and CRPS matches. Our club run pistol event organizers ar3 going to let a few of us run the 22’s on their courses.
What are people using for mag holders? I have a derya tm22 coming but I dont see much about mag holders for these?

'Shot a few mini rifle matches this year...
Most were handgun matches with a MR div.
added... I think we had one exclusively MR match.

It's a lot of fun, but with one BIG problem.
Until someone comes out with a dead reliable, box-fed semi auto .22 rifle that works right out of box its going to continue to be a exercise in frustration.
The Derya TM22 is popular, but reliability seems hit and miss. I had to re ream the chamber on mine so now its reliable, but...
Why should I have to "fix" a rifle bought new?
The 10/22 runs, but the magazines suck for action shooting... Sure, you can "adapt" it to use those Rem 597 mags, but... I've never seen one work well enough to finish a stage.

If a reputable manufacturer built a quality, reliable, steel rifle specifically for action shooting...
We idiots would line up to pay the $2000 price tag. Hell... I'd buy two!
I have seen guys which have adapted cut down Glock mags that had been fastened to the Ruger box mags.

Still sucks
10 rounds.

I can load 29 rounds into my TM22 mags, but reliability with the Deryas is still hit and miss.

Fort McMurray will be hosting two mini rifle matches following their pistol matches May 30th and Aug 08th
Depending on attendance in our Pistlol matches we will also be holding mini rifle matches following our pistol matches in Bonnyville, June 13th , Aug 15th and Sept 12th.

Oh I agree, but I guess the rifle will be more consistent with OEM steel lipped magazines with the added length for manipulation.
