I saw that Siwash had them a little while agoI can’t find a seller for them in Canada.
One of my local places had them in stock but have sold out. And no one knows anything more.

I too would like to see this. All the people who made public statements that I saw were department management types. And said statements were vague with lots of room for questions.CZ president stated publicly this was false and not involved in the Fed scheme. Guy like you just keep ignoring the truth -direct answer from the people running the company and keep on pushing those false line around.WAKE UP.
Maybe read what Ian Runkle of Runkle of the Bailey has to say about it and become more fully informed.CZ president stated publicly this was false and not involved in the Fed scheme. They have a .22 WMR. But probably not exactly what you want.I did a Google and only center fires are left.
Thanx TMO for the tip.

There have been more American social media influencers pushing the colt/Cz boycott “for Canada” than there have been Canadians who ever knew it was even a thing. I say let them sleep in the bed they made for themselves. When this whole thing is behind us maybe a Canadian orI’m not shopping for anything CZ offers rn, so I’ll say that upfront. But from a loftier perspective, firearm ownership has never been more at risk than it is now in Canada-seems like bad timing and a self-defeating stance to say you’ll deny yourself what is (really) in the top 1-2 best rimfire options for the $.
Us company will pick them up for penny’s in te solar nd offer us some good options. Until the n, we have tons of good options.
No, CZ shouldn’t be rewarded for Colt’s actions=do what you feel you gotta do. Don’t really disagree with the “F-CZ” guys either, and I DO get that we have a ($) voice on this issue when gun owners seldom seem to.
I can’t help but think that anything that grows the sport ( buying new gear, ammo, taking new shooters out, encouraging people to get their PAL) is good, limiting our own options when the list of available options is already shrinking? Our guns should never go quiet for reasons we choose.
Not judging anyone, and not saying I’m right.
Not long ago, we hung traitors in this country. And I’m not talking about you, I’m talking about the man at colt Canada who thought it was okay. This “it doesn’t affect me directly right now” mentality is what got us where we are currentlyI’m not shopping for anything CZ offers rn, so I’ll say that upfront. Buy a Howa 1100 and don’t be a schmuckI sold my annies off as I got tired of paying premium ammo prices and have one hell of a time finding it. Back to CCI standards.
That being said, I would prefer something other then my Cooey, so I am having the internal dilemma right now of
TIKKA VRS CZ lol
I find the CZ 457 standards have to thin of a barrel for me aesthetically, but I KNOW they will shoot decent. Plus they are going for around 640 on sale. One heck of a deal. That had me looking at the Varmints variant, they are close to the Tikka in price (about 800 bucks, just a touch over).
SO much good PR for the CZ and some hit and miss for the tikka, im very torn. I know for a fact the tikka will be better for down the road as my collection slowly turns into a tikka collection lol. Just dont think I want to swap the stock right away and the tikka (t1x) have the far worse stock. That being said, I HATE the tikka mags... The look, the feel... bleh! I the CZ mags are fine, stock fit flush and are well made.
It is likely it will come down to what one I can find on sale after Christmas lol
The problem with “just buy one used” is that in the long term, you are still running up the price of that heathenistic garbage on the resale market and creating demand for dealers to order more new stockSince the semi-auto ban (in effect if not name) came down, I was looking for something to (functionally at least) replace my fun guns in .223/5.56 and .308/7.62. I was drawn to short, handy, quick-throw bolt carbines.
Enter a SIG CROSS, 16" in .308, and a CZ Trail in .223. I am aware of CZ's involvement in the ongoing shenanigans...
My solution? I bought used. Found one in great shape on #######, price below retail, haven't shot it yet but (aside from a few odd details) happy with the look and feel of it.
My $$$ went to another Canadian who bought it before any of this was a thing. So, I get the rifle I wanted, none of my $$$ goes to support CZ's antics, and I can sleep at night.
In my industry we just say you’re fired.I don't think the actions of Colt Canada reflect upon CZ. Colt Canada would've partnered with the government for the buyback scheme regardless of which parent company acquired them because Colt Canada is the main small arms supplier to the Canadian Armed Forces. It really has nothing to do with CZ. If Vista Outdoors or another major conglomerate had acquired Colt Canada the outcome would have been the same.
If I can get an asset from someone else at their loss, it’s not supporting them it’s supporting me. I’d rather have more guns in Canada than a bunch of wanna be elite gatekeepers. It’s a decent gun for the same price as a tank of gas in a f150. Everyone should buy a bunch. “China” is losing money on every one they sell us. If they weren’t dirt cheap it would be a completely different story. I have typed 3 posts here today about the savage mkII, which I said was a heck of a bargain for the price and made in Canada.Thank You for supporting China![]()
Keep the ones you have forever, let them rust away into eternity. Don’t create any demand for importers to order any more. Simple as thatCZ as a parent company could have come down hard on Colt Canada - but to my knowledge they made no attempt. This is a sad day in the firearm world when a company like CZ or Colt, etc which has such a long history of civilian firearm ownership goes and supports the Canadian LIEberal regime.
I havnt drank a sip of an Anheuser Busch product since that. Stella was the hardest to avoid for me. Moosehead has become my favouriteI'm sure the parent company CZ knows all about what is going on with their subsidiary Colt Canada just like i'm sure also knew all about the Bud Lite fiasco.
You're not going to stay in business long ignoring what's happening with your subsidiaries.
The fact that CZ has a lying c0cksucker denying proven facts makes this thins a whole lot worse imo. Dealers who got shook down first have posted the address they were told to ship banned firearms to. In the BNA constitution, treason was sentencable by death by hanging. That liar at CZ should be held to the truthCZ president stated publicly this was false and not involved in the Fed scheme. Guy like you just keep ignoring the truth -direct answer from the people running the company and keep on pushing those false line around.WAKE UP.
When I see those posts on here I just think “okay boomer. Glad you had a good run”This is why we lose. I’ll keep “fighting” if not for myself then for my kids and my unborn grandkids.
He is not a god. I had to deal with a corporate lawyer for a work thing very recently and we got to talking and I realized he was 10x more educated on firearm laws than that guy and it wasn’t even his specialty.Maybe read what Ian Runkle of Runkle of the Bailey has to say about it and become more fully informed.
I’m not a boomer - and I HATE that term - but I sure as heck ain’t young either. However, I can see that kicking problems down the without at least trying to do something about it will negatively affect young people. Why would I be so self centred to think that is ok? I just don’t get it. I’d rather leave this place better for my children and if that means having less or giving up on some stuff, so be it.When I see those posts on here I just think “okay boomer. I’m not young either. I’ll have enough guns to shoot for the rest of my life. That’s not what I’m worried about. I’m thinking about the kids just coming up now who won’t even get to know what freedom is.I’m not a boomer - and I HATE that term - but I sure as heck ain’t young either. Hard pass. I go for pride of ownership with the firearms I own. Zero of that in the brands you're talking. Next you'll be recommending we all buy suits at WalMart. If I can get an asset from someone else at their loss, it’s not supporting them it’s supporting me.
