I've probably got more invested into handguns and rifles on the list than 80% of people here, I looked at it as an investment in retirement for a long time. That's out the window and unfortunately I don't ever see it coming back. I still enjoy taking the handguns out and shooting them as much as time allows.
That said, I just bought another used 457 action off the EE, Am I pleased with CC? Absolutely not. Am I going to stop shooting guns I like because of it? Absolutely not. If I stop buying or shooting guns in any capacity that's a win for the the other side. CC is still its own entity has been in bed with the Canadian gov't regardless of who was in office, and long before it was acquired by CZ and I do doubt the decision was made at the thirty thousand foot level inside CZ, was more than likely made in our own backyard.
CZ has a product that out performs pretty much most anything else in its price range, As long as that's true people will keep buying, Go to a RPRS match and see what most people are shooting. Us Canadians are a tiny drop in a very big bucket. Its a crappy situation but the more guns in the hands of Canadians the better.
If you want it, Get it and go enjoy it while you can. The future of gun ownership in this country is fleeting.
