Anyone still buying CZ anymore?

I've probably got more invested into handguns and rifles on the list than 80% of people here, I looked at it as an investment in retirement for a long time. That's out the window and unfortunately I don't ever see it coming back. I still enjoy taking the handguns out and shooting them as much as time allows.

That said, I just bought another used 457 action off the EE, Am I pleased with CC? Absolutely not. Am I going to stop shooting guns I like because of it? Absolutely not. If I stop buying or shooting guns in any capacity that's a win for the the other side. CC is still its own entity has been in bed with the Canadian gov't regardless of who was in office, and long before it was acquired by CZ and I do doubt the decision was made at the thirty thousand foot level inside CZ, was more than likely made in our own backyard.

CZ has a product that out performs pretty much most anything else in its price range, As long as that's true people will keep buying, Go to a RPRS match and see what most people are shooting. Us Canadians are a tiny drop in a very big bucket. Its a crappy situation but the more guns in the hands of Canadians the better.

If you want it, Get it and go enjoy it while you can. The future of gun ownership in this country is fleeting.

Real shame. They've fixed the user swappable barrels on their 600 series now. That and a controlled feed action makes it tempting.

Maybe if they see their sales take a big plunge they'll cancel their contract

They wont.
The contract is worth decades of retail sales.
Its probably the main reason CZ bought Colt Canada in the first place.

Its one thing to like guns you already have.

It's a whole other thing to buy guns from a company working to remove your rights and firearms.

If you don't understand this, there is nothing we can do to help you.
If you enjoy cheap rifles with zero pride of ownership just so you can say you have a gun then there's probably some sort of therapy offered out there. P.S. I don't grocery shop at 7-11 either. Same same.

I have an enjoy lots of older or used CZ firearms. That company will never get another dime out of me on anything retail. Ever.

Traitors must pay.

Of course, if they fess up to what they did without weasel words, cancel all buyback related contracts and publicly explain that AND vow to never support a LPC government ever again - also publicly - then maybe I will reconsider.

To the people saying "why punish yourself" - give your head a shake. CZ is VERY far from the only maker of decent bolt action rifles selling stuff in Canada. Support your allies - dummies.

You guys are pathetic. All of you who just fallen for that lie debunked by CZ right at the start that they participate in the buyback. And of top of it - you are too stubborn to accept that fact - it was something started by someone who has a grudge against them. Total Bullship. All of you here - CZ dumper - should crawl under a log - complete lack of judgment and dums enough to beleive an obvios fake story.

Give your head a shake. Confiscated guns were mailed by businesses to a CZ-owned facility. That’s an immutable fact.

Pure cope and you know it.

I haven't really been following this story for the past while. Was there new evidence pointing to the story being fake and cooked up by someone holding a grudge?

I'm no more going to stop buying CZ than I am going to stop visiting the U.S.A because a group of over-amped Canadians tell me I shouldn't.

CZ is a billion euro company. They don't care if a couple of angry Canadians don't buy a rimfire. The people who might care are Canadian gun dealers who are trying to make a living selling guns.

The reason the nra is successful is because it unites people around a common cause, and companies know their bad actions will have consequences.

The elbows up sheeple here in Kanada seem to want to reward CZ with their dollars for being the instrument of the erosion of their rights.

Stupid is as stupid does, I guess.

You have a chance to prove this to me Janeau.

So please do.

Unfortunately, the entire Cdn market isn't as big as pretty much any one state down south, so, it's really only a bit of gravy for them. We can get all huffy and up in arms over it all we want, it really doesn't mean diddly squat to them. Gov't /LEO contracts in Cda are likely worth more than the retail stuff overall, as they usually involve maintenance, parts, accessories that the retail market doesn't, as a packaged product. They'll sell more in one product, in one sale, than 50 civilians will buy of 10 different products to make the same money. Who in Cda is buying Colt anything other than the gov't? What do they or CZ really offer in Cda that the civilian markets wants, or that can be sold in Cda? What you bought, is bought already, what retailers want to buy from them, is pretty limited. The 600's, the 457's and maybe a few shotguns. The shotguns are all Turkish imports, plenty of those around that are cheaper. Plenty of competition on the rifles by what appears to be some pretty good stuff, maybe better than what CZ offers. And the bulk of the population, doesn't really care.

Do you vote? Because I can explain to you why there's no point in you voting. You probably didn't go to the CCFR march in Ottawa a few years ago either. What's the point. Or the freedom convoy.
Some people stand up for what they believe in, didn't get the vax, won't participate in the buyback. You're not one of them.

Do we have any dealers supporting the CZ boycott by not ordering new stock?
Should we as consumers scrutinize dealers who support CZ?
If CZ are still good sellers and a retailer can make money on them when they are already struggling I'm not sure it make much sense to boycott them. Think of all the places that have shut down already. Morals or food on the table...
