Agree, longshot is a great powder to get these slugs moving. I use cheddite hulls and 12s4 wads. I went through quite a bit of d800 powder testing slugs with great results as well.
I only shoot slugs through a smoothbore however and found plain ol round balls .690", .680" and .662" work just as well to 50 or 60 yards. The lee 1 oz drive key slug has been the most consistent out of the in wad slugs for me.
I have had good luck with both the svarog "italian" and the svarog "paradox"
The paradox in particular is an absolute hammer, should only be fired through a cylinder bore or rifled bore.
I would like to find a nice cut down side by side and keep it loaded with these.
I need to get back out and do more testing with the paradox slug as I believe it could be a winner
