Anyone used MUR uppers for their builds?

Here's my MUR upper/Noveske lower build.

I've got a DD Lite on it right now.

The UAR costs a bit more but I do like the fact that the FA and deflector are all part of the same billet. The IUR FA and deflector are separate from the main receiver and held in place by a roll pin. Not that there's any high pressures or external forces acting on it to possibly break it but it still is a possible point of failure.

I just found a UAR so I got it, I really like the rounded cam pin it comes with and the burnished bore. We'll see how it works!

Haha, ya, it's my safe queen for now. I've shot it about 3x so far but the MUR upper has been out just once since I shot it. I had a DD upper then a MI billet upper and now the MUR. The MUR upper has only 60rnds on it, if that?

That's a new Rainier Arms Precision Match NiB BCG I picked up from the EE back in Dec. Haven't been out to the range as yet.

That's a good BCG but check if you can find the Spike's tactical BCG nickel boron. Out of all my carriers they have proven to be the most reliable.
JP Enterprise makes good ones too. ($$$)

Did the Noveske push pins come in white or did you colour fill them?

Yeah, I filled 'em with white Testors model paint. Not a fan of the crayon.

Love it. The finish is super durable, the rail is super grippy with or without rail panels, and I love how slim and light it is. Definitely no complaints.

It is! It's a bit more vertical than the Magpul K2 and think the BCM as well. Less wrist fatigue. The only sucky thing about it is lack of grippy texture and I'm not crazy about stippling it. I shudda bought at least 4 when OST had 'em!!
