Why not both? In addition to shooting it in the bush plinking, why not have something capable of being used for hunting or being competitive in 3-gun, Service rifle, or whatever competition one chooses to use it in?
'Should' is pretty definitive, no?
I'm likely not the only one who doesn't understand the logic of purchasing a quality, refined machine and then using ammo that has a track record of questionable quality in it, but it's your gun and your face...shoot what you want.
You want to shoot 6moa ammo out of a rifle capable of 1 moa? Shoot sh!t ammo that is questionable both in quality and the has the possibility of putting undue, premature wear on your firearm? Shoot off ammo to hear a 'bang' and feel recoil? Who gives a sh!t? That's no one's business but your's.
You want to own a Ferrari and bomb down dirt roads? Fill your boots...Just don't be surprised if some people snicker.
For me, it isn't worth it as I've had a gun grenade on me. While I came away un-injured, since then my outlook on ammo has drastically changed.
Obviously ymmv.
