I sent my application last week, and I wonder. I have a Secret clearance, this basically requires an extensive background check and can take up to 1 year before emission. Is it going to affect my application?(Since the background check that they have to do is already done)

Anywone in this forum have applied for an rpal and had a security clearance? If so, do you noticed that the process got quicker or they just dont share the information between rcmp departements and it's the same thing as everywone elses?

I have the same level of clearance and it makes no difference, you will still have to wait the mandated time frame plus any additional time if any.

FWIW I got mine within the normal time period.

same here, took 2 months back in the spring, still had to go through the interview as well as my references. I highly doubt that CSIS would be sharing any info with the CFC unless there was a criminal investigation.

If you have Solicitor General Clearance of level 2 and you're yapping about it on here, You've just lost your clearance.

The answer is No, it won't help or hinder your RPAL application, But some good advice would be to delete any posts mentioning as such and learn to keep your mouth quiet about clearances that they have specifically asked to keep quiet about, and BTW, you've also signed something that says you were going to shut up about it. Whatever clearance you have, I'm pretty sure its going to be short lived.

I don't think we're talking about the same type of clearance man. I can write it on my CV if I want to, it's required by lots of federal agencies.

Bragging that you have a Level II clearance on the internet is just an indicator that you should NOT have such clearance...

At the end of the day, the internet, and this site is being monitored. You just made yourself a possible target!

Dumbass!

Lol a target... Pretty much anyone with 3yrs up in the CF has that security clearance...

Need a tinfoil hat ? Just bought a new roll :p
