I have production dates booked for 2009 and will be announcing this years program shortly. I know, I know, I said shortly... last month but all my duck are in a row. Won't be long now.

Anything is possible, just need enough people to make it happen and someone to run the program, interested?

Nope not interested. Considering the frustrations of working for the DPKO - thats a joke.

To all who don't check into the Para forums, check out the 2009. It is out. I was just told, checked it out....and well nothing wrong with the SF45 version I suppose but I like single stack 1911s and Para listened!

Has anyone bought a holster for their Para. I have a double stack and it will not fit in the WWII 1911 holster I have.

Any suggestions on what holster will fit it?

I bought the Fobus holster for mine and it's not bad. Not having concealed carry here and holster that does the job should be good enough for the range shooting we get to do.

Oh decisions decisions.

It's been awhile since I've had a new 1911 to play with. Had thought about getting one of the Norinco two-tone sports and tinker with it over time but this single stack Para seems like it might win me over(Esp since it isn't much more than STi Spartan, Taurus money)

Form filled out....when to click send. :D

One guy from 1-08 got this via email yesterday:

From the e-mail you forward over I can see that you have been receiving are updated . This means you would have received the e-mail that the pistols are due into my office in the last week of March.
The next person to contact you about these pistols will be the CFO
Once they have contacted you , they will let my office know and we will ship out your pistol.

Anybody hear anything different?

This is what I got 2 Apr:

Tetragon has been informed that the pistols are to be shipped as soon as they are finished in production. We received this image April 2, 2009.
There is a process that has to be followed before your pistol can be delivered to you:
When Tetragon receives the pistols we have to have them registered in the name of Tetragon.
Once Tetragon has been informed that they have been transferred in to their name, we then start the process of registering them in your name.
The CFO will be contacted; Then, they will contact you: following this Tetragon will be contacted and be given an A.T.T. Number.
Once the above process has been completed we will contact you to advise you when you can collect, or, have the pistols delivered to you home address.

There is already a CF appreciation pistol for sale on the EE! And for over $2000!!!

This kind of pisses me off. The minor reason it bothers me is because although I know we all have the right to sell our guns that we buy, this one is supposed to be for the CF only and is supposed to be special. Flipping the gun cheapens it all.

But the major thing that pisses me off is the mark up! $2250!

I have to agree with babyseal. It would be one thing for a soldier to sell it to someone he knows, but to sell it on an open forum to whomever seems to cheapen the whole thing to me.

Maybe he didn't like the feel of it. Or it didn't make him feel all hot and heavy like he thought it would. If he is selling NIB, that better mean that 0 rounds have gone through it. that gun better be a virgin. and with a 200% markup, that holster better be worth $1000
