Appreciation for Service Program for Canadian Forces Personnel

Guys, a double-stack 9mm LDA was offered last year (no rail, though) and only 13 were ordered. I really like mine, but I'd be surprised if Para would bother again for such poor response!

Just wishfull thinking, a friend got one and he let me play with it, felt nice and shot well, would be nice to add to the collection.

Sorry guys,

If you use an official e-mail address to join the Para Forum then you are approved as soon as I can hit the approved button. If you use a civie e-mail address then I have to verify you. I am in the UK on course and don't have access to the DIN so things are slow.

I just deleted a bunch of spammers from the Forum and you may have gotten caught up in that. If you are still waiting to be approved, send me a PM on the Para Forum and I'll see what I can do.

So after numerous calls, now its a Graham, they can't find my other one. This Graham said they would count the number of pistols, then phone me back. He phoned back to say they had the right number and that they would now check all the serial numbers on 200 pistols. I phoned back a week later and he said I was on his list to call on tuesday. To those of us that have done serialized kit checks before 200 pistols of the same make would take NO time at all. We'll see what tuesday brings.. A guy in my detachment still hasn't had his call with the transfer info. Too bad I don't know anyone in mississauga.

Now they've found the second one. It was sent to someone else. Apparently the serial numbers are so poorly done that the CFO is contacting Para to "discuss this problem".

So the guy that got my pistol, says the serial number on the box is the one on his paper work and that's good enough for him. So guess who's going to get a visit from the Area CFO? Best of luck to him

I as well got the tf-108 pistols. I bought six because some of the boys who wanted in on then guns didn't have their licenses at the time. The first 3 came in around july and I've had the reg certs for about a month at this point. The latter 3 came in a while later. Some friends have told me that their credit cards were charged twice. Here's where the headache started for me. (I won't bore you with the hassle to even get them in or to check on the status) One of the guns was of the wrong serial number (off by 1 digit) but in the right plasic case and it was missing a magazine. So I sent it back with a RTS. I called and made sure it had made the trip. Then nothing but empty promises. Everytime I was told that it'll ship on Monday then finally it changed to that their sole vault keeper was on leave. Last Monday I was told it had finally left and it was supposed to arrive today. Sara had emailed and asked what waist size I have and said she was preping a gift in appreciation of my patience.

I personally would not even bother with them again. Also, how come the same guns under similar programs with similar aims had such a difference in customer experience? The only thing different between both programs is tetragon.

I think a separeate "TF1-08 Appreciation" thread should be started to avoid confusion between the "CF Appreciation" and the "TF1-08 Appreciation". The OP - wordstwice is gtg with comms. He's answered all my q's on the para forum - including the delayed wait times. As soon as he knows we know.

I'm not sure if wordstwice will be running point on subsequent CF-related para deals including TF ones...For one guy, he is pretty organized, compared to a company with multiple pers.

The CF Appreciation pistols are being 'administered' by the OPI Words Twice.

Tetragon who did your TF1-08 pistols is a VERY small outfit in the GTA who went over their heads with regards to knowing how to run such a program, dealing with handling the transfers etc. They should probably stick to selling boots and clothing.

Thank you,

Need more people on the .40 series. There's been enough orders on the .45 to go into production, but we're short on 40's. Come on, get in on it!
