Today I shot some M4 type ARs at 300 yrds.
I shot a NEA 14.5", a NEA 10.5" and a modified Norinco 14.5". (The Norc has a float tube).
The NEA 14.5 has a Burris scope and the reticle did not suit my aiming mark, so I could not get any kind of group. In fact, the 4X scopes were a limiting factor. I think 20X target scopes would have done better.
All rifles had Rock River triggers. Love them.
The ammo was handloads with Hornady 55 gr. FMJ over 24.5 gr 4895. These were not proven loads. They had never been shot before. I chose this load because it looked like a decent 300 yd load.
The NEA and Norinco shot very similar groups - just under 2 MOA. Considering these were not match bullets, I was very pleased and impressed.
