Shouldn't be a problem if they're properly licensed.

Alright boys...
I have a colt Canada FA trigger/hammer/selector in my Colt Canada SA-20. FA non CC BCG. No FA sear.
Upper FA sear cut and all.
THE RIFLE WILL NOT FIRE FULL AUTO!
You need the FA sear. That's it. Unless you MOD the bolt carrier so the hammer can hit the firing pin good enough by riding on it. But even then the timing is wrong and you need the inertia of the hammer lock back by the auto sear to have enough force and be reliable.
Now close this stupid debate.
lol you don't say!
I had the exact same results with mine. That's two people now with physical 100% proof that it's utter horse s**t....
So, it would be safe to say that a semi-auto AR-15 variant will not fire full auto without, a) some extensive machine work b) some pretty obvious parts and c) all of the necessary parts. Which would take some specific knowledge to install properly. And without all of these things, AR-15's simply are not capable of firing fully automatic period. Good, this is the kind of information that needs to get out to counter the pantswetter's propaganda.

Get it once for all.
On another note: You will also understand the why of the hybrid Colt Canada bcg. The bolt is "almost" a FA one. But the cut is made in a way that in battery the down portion of the BCG will miss just enough material to actually reach the FA sear and disengage it.
Cheers.

I find it interesting about how there is so much controversy and disagreement about how to convert your AR 15 to F/A even though it's original M-16 parent was F/A to begin with and that this is thought to be common knowledge in the firearms world. Now the RCMP are trying to push to have a number or rifles (11 if I remember correctly) prohibited because it is "so easy" to covert S/A to F/A. I have over 40 years experience with firearms including private ownership, retailing firearms (including F/A to law enforcement) and 25 years as a LEO where I had access to F/A guns. Having said all that I can say honestly that I cannot readily recognize F/A parts or how to install or modify an existing S/A firearm to F/A operation. So who are these guys that are running around Canada converting all these guns to run F/A and where is the documentation to confirm this is happening and the guns are being used by criminals against the public or LEO's? No doubt there are a few people out there doing this but it is so minimal that to spend the effort of RCMP crime lab's time and money proving all this is just a big waste of time and someone is justifying their budget and expertise for no good reason. Phil.
