Sorry if this has been covered before. How do the Tapco AR15 mags compare to the PMags? From what I have been reading the Tapco SKS mags are excellent. Thinking of getting some for my M4 as well but I am thinking the PMags look and function better.

Is there a significant price difference?

I've been happy with my PMAGs, but I think they were around $30 a piece.

$29.99 for the Tapcos. Just wanted to know because the place I am putting an order in for a few things only has Tapco AR mags. I was thinking of adding them to my order instead of ordering again from another dealer for the PMags and paying shipping twice.

Trust me,
Buy right the first time and you will never need to buy again.
TAPCO stuff is great for your SkS's but MAGPUL is meant for your AR-15's.

I dont have experience with the Tapco mags, but I'm sure they will work fine for our mag laws. But for the price of 29.99...

Go order some Pmags from Questar for 31.99 + $10 for shipping.

LAR 15 is the BEST!!!(choice) Holds 10 rounds ......

Ditto. We are stuck on a range using 5 round mags...

Why not add a little enjoyment to your Rifle and use 10 round mags.

You can pretend your big mag holds 30 if you like. :p but I enjoy my rifle more when using rounds 6 - 10:D

LAR 15 is BEST!!! Holds 10 rounds and put a CProducts Tactipul Floorplate or a CP-LAR15-COUPLER on it. Check it out at Questar https://shopquestar.ca/default.asp.

Unless you want a 5 round than, I would go with PMAG.

Already have a bunch of those complete with couplers. ;)

Before say that, do you allready try or see a Tapco mag ?

Magpul Pmag 5 rd are not made by compagny, they don't care about Canadian market, Tapco made the 5 rd in factory for us, yes for us, they are Canadian friendly, happy to see one US company work for Canadian market.

Funny you should mention this because it's your site that I am ordering some things from, again! :D Love your shipping as it's the fastest I have had from anyone on the EE or any dealer. Just waiting for the Tapco SKS mags to come in so I can complete my order.

Any news on them yet?

I have and use the Tapco AR magazines. They work quite well.
The original ones fit right to the magwell size and had to be taken out as they would not drop free. I understand the newer ones are made a hair smaller to drop more easily. They should be as trouble free. Fabsports, thank you. I was wondering how they were pinned, now that I know they are made specifically for us I will definitely get a packet.

By the way, when will the SAW grips be available in black?

No, I don't think I will ever drive a truck over any of my firearms or accessories to try them out.

This is inside of Tapco mag

Thanks for this! Much better than a pop rivet imo. I have been reading up on all the improvements that have been made on the GENII Tapco mags you have. Getting great reviews around the net. Only complaints I found were for the first generation but GenII have since upgraded the quality of the follower and spring among other things.
