AR-15 Pistol to SBR

It is not possible to re register the AR pistol to an AR rifle. The lower (firearm) is a pistol and always will be.

Is it legal to convert a pistol AR-15 to an SBR in Canada without any extra paperwork? Or does it have to be re-registered?

Your confusing US law with Canadian law - an AR is restricted regardless if it is a pistol or "SBR". The SBR classification does not exist in Canada.

If you slap a stock on a pistol AR it still remains a restricted firearm and does not have to be re-registered.

Reason I'm curious is I'm somewhat interested in purchasing a RRA LAR-PDS but wanting to get their side folding stock kit on it.

Thank you for clarifying this CTCS. I know that the US has a law for it but I'm not sure if I would have to call CFO or anything if I put a stock on it.
