Tried and tested triggers with Mil Spec primer like on the harder CCI 41s
Geissele
Wilson Combat

Timney recommends the AR-10 trigger for use with mil spec primers since it has the stronger spring. It will fit either an AR-10 or AR-15.
You can send an AR-15 timney trigger back to where you bought it in Canada, they could then potentially send it back to Timney who will then retro fit with a stronger spring for a nominal fee.
Although I have a Timney on my Colt 6920 and I've shot about 1200 rounds of xm855 without any issue whatsoever.

Stuck.

I run the stock KAC trigger in my main rifle. its not light but short and fast reset, I run .10 splits and the odd .09/.08

Best I have done is 8 rounds in 1 second almost did 9
 
I just bought a wilson combat trigger, now I just need another AR to put it on, well I guess thats a good a reason as any. Time to buy another AR.

Yes, most small pin triggers (non Colt) should work fine, but I would avoid triggers that use a reduced power hammer spring. I use a Geissele Hi-Speed National Match trigger in my DPMS LR308B. It works great, the only issue was that my AR-10 receiver is milled deeper than a standard AR15, so the trigger over travel adjustment screw was too short to be effective. No big deal, as the over travel is not too bad as is and I have not bothered to source a longer set screw.

The standard GI style triggers are complete crap in my opinion, and can only be slightly improved by polishing. The Geissele is simply in another league altogether, in fact, I liked it so much that I just installed a Geissele G2S in a recently purchased AR15 plinker. Even this entry level 2 stage is worlds better than the standard trigger.
 
Thank you! made my life so much easier comparing triggers for Service Rifle comp's. I ended up going with the Geissele Hi-Speed National Match - Service Rifle.
 
Wow it costs over $400 for a Geissele match match trigger. I know its a good trigger but its plastic and a little spring. Its too bad peopl buy them at these prices.

There is not one single bit of plastic in my GA HSNM. The entire assembly was cut by wire edm, then tested for cracks and such magnetically. Quality is high, QC is higher. You're paying for reliability. There's a reason they have lifetime warranty.

Oh ok. The thing looks plastic and they do not say what its made out of. Just seems very expensive

quality triggers are expensive, you pay for the name, the quality, the engineering and the steel used.

if there is a part of an ar you never ever want to fail is the trigger, for obvious catastrophic reasons.
 
Wow, its gonna take me half the day just to take all that in. Thank you for a great write up. We need something like this for most AR parts. There are just too many manufacturers.
 
Anxiously awaiting a review of the TriggerTech AR 15 trigger.

Mike - Maybe Triggertech will loan or comp you a trigger.
